If I book the flight I want too because it is much cheaper we will be arriving at 645pm in Orlando airport. However, we need to check into BWV and still manage to get to Grand floridian for our PS. Is this humanely possible? What do you think?
HELP
ALSO, I have had alot of trouble lately responding to members forums and signing in? Alot of times it says you do not have access to this page and automatically logs me out? Is this normal?

humanly possible? maybe, but i seriously wouldn't recommend it.

when we went in december, our plane landed at 350 but between bussing, rental cars, checking in, etc we didn't arrive at the resort until about 8pm :)

I assume you are renting a car and driving yourself. The drive from the airport to WDW is pretty quick (1/2 to 3/4 of an hour), but I think that the 2 1/4 hour window you are looking at is still pretty tight. Can you do carry on only? That would cut out a possibly long wait at the luggage carousel. Assuming your flight arrives on time and your BWV check in is quick it may be possible. Can you eat first and check in after dinner?

Hope it works out for you,

Chris

That would be really, really tight! I personally wouldn't be booking a TS meal for an evening if I had a flight that landed at 6:45pm. Even with no delays it would be really hard to make it.

I forgot to mention, the rental car process can be either painfully long or a breeze depending on who you rent from. We use National (Emerald Club) and the process consists of walking to the lot, chooing a car (the keys are in the ignition) and spending about a minute at the booth on the way out while they process the paperwork.

what if we got picked up by a towncar service? should we check in after dinner? or could we loose our room?

I think it would be REALLY tough.

Provided everything goes as planned and your luggage is waiting on the carousel for you and you get through the rental car line you could be looking at 7:30-7:45pm right there. Check-in could be a crapshoot-- either fast or slow...and then you have to get to the GF.

Now, a couple of years ago I landed at MCO at 4:15-ish and managed to make a 6pm ADR at Yachtsman's. However, Yachtsmans was in my hotel and I was dressed and ready to go already.

I would see if you couldn't push it back to a 9:30, IMHO. That would buy you a little more isurance time.
:earsboy:

I wouldn't do it. Your flight could be delayed, you transportation to the resort could be delayed, etc. I would plan it for another night. Why go through such a hassle?

I have checked in as late as midnight without a problem.

We arrived 3pm, got to POR at 4:30. It took 20 minutes to check in, then 5 minutes to walk to room. By 2 hours after landing we were in our room. To get to anywhere from POR was at least 1/2 hour plus.

I would not think you could do it using Disney transportation. IF you have a towncar pickup maybe that could work.

Good luck and have fun.

I'd never do that! Why would you want to start your vacation under such pressure? LOL!

If you want to have a nice dinner on arrival night, why don't you eat at Flying Fish, or Spoodles right on the Boardwalk? That way you can check in, then it's just a five minute walk to your ADR.

yeah I guess you guys are right!! I will just be nervous all day anticipating not making our PS at Narcoosees. I guess I should either book another flight or change my dining option.
Thanks disers for making everything so clear:thumbsup2
