Plan A or B? Please help me decide!

Saturday, 5/5, our first full day:

Plan A:
1) Rope drop MK at 9 and go left, doing standby only in Adventureland and Frontierland until about 11:30.
2) Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, 11:55.
3) Resort break
4) AK around 4:30, hopefully with FP for FOP. Watch ROL.

Plan B:
1) Rope drop EMH at AK at 8 am. Everest, Safari, then FOP FP on the way out around 11-noon if I manage to get two for that time.
2) Resort break
3) Ohana dinner at 4:55
4) MK for whatever same-day FP I pull and HEA.

Regarding Plan A:
--I like doing MK the first morning. It just feels "right."
--I do want to see Pandora at night, and FOP FP+ for evening may be easier to come across than morning. There's another AK EMH the Wednesday of our trip, and it'd probably be a nicer morning there if I wasn't worried about Pandora.

Regarding Plan B:
--Freakin' Ohana. The wrench in all my well-laid plans. It's difficult to get a decent reservation there (I booked our trip after 180 days) and I am hesitant to let go of that one.
--Morning EMH at AK is a nice perk.

I'm still leaning toward Plan A and have an alternative Ohana plan for a less desirable time slot later in the week. But it'd certainly be more convenient to eat there and then travel to MK than to make a trip to Polynesian for it.

What would you all do?

I like Plan A. As far as Ohana, try Touring Plans free Reservation Finder. It found me several Ohana reservations.

Plan A
Get reservations finder from Tourist plan? (I’m not sure that’s the name) to get a better Ohana ADR is a free tool that works.

I would do Plan A for preference sake; love opening MK, and Pandora is awesome at night.

It sounds like you wanna do plan A, so go for it. RD an E ticket at MK then ride standby on the short line rides. Be sure to come back later in the week to do MK at night, that’s my fave time there.

Thanks guys. I tried the ADR finder once and may give it another shot.

I have my alternate ADR for Ohana at 3:30 that Monday, and was thinking maybe we'd eat, have a drink at Trader Sam's, visit the Grand Floridian just to look around (never been inside), then head to MK for HEA at 9 and EMH from 9-11. I've never stayed until closing and would like to make it this time!

I just have a thing about resort ADR timing. I don't want to go to Ohana if we won't be at MK before or after to make the travel time seem "worth it."

Do you have plans to see HEA on another night? If not, I would see HEA over Pandora at night and ROL.
Oh, definitely. We'll be there seven nights so I'll make sure to see both nighttime shows (plus I must see the SW show at HS). I'm just obsessing over that first day even though I'm certain we'll have plenty of time.

It will be unlikely for you to get a FoP FP for the late morning on your first day. On my first day, there were only evening FP available for FoP. I'd go with plan A for that reason alone.
