Places to stay in Gatlinburg?

My family and I are going to Gatlinburg and need to decide where to stay. Does anyone know of a decent (and reasonably priced) hotel for a family of five? Hopefully a place with a decent pool.

I have read the other thread about attractions in Gatlinburg, which was very helpful. The Hill-Billy golf sounds kind of fun!

There was an article about the Best Western mid "downtown" Gatlinburgh. The article said it was reasonable ($105/night I think) and that it had an indoor and outdoor pool. Avoid the Holiday Inn on Airport Drive..it was nothing nice. There are tons of cabins and chalets and a lot of those are reasonable (though no pool). I LOVE the Smokies...PM me if you have any questions.

When we stayed in Gatlingburg, we rented a cabin. It was on top of a mountain and 3 stories with a hot tub on on of the decks. On the lower floor was a pull-out couch with a dart board, pool table and air hockey. On the second floor was the kitchen, dining area, big tv, living room area and a bedroom with it's own full bathroom and tv and double bed. On the third floor was a king size bed, tv and full bathroom. Was very nice.

We always stay in Townsend..Which is in between Gatlinburg and Cades Cove...It is about 1/2 hour from Pigeon Forge & 1/2 hour from Gatlinburg...It is a lot more peaceful there and only 2-3 miles from the Great Smokey Mountains...A little place called Best Western Valley View....Indoor Pool, continental breakfast...Priced at approx. $80-$100 on weekends and a lot cheaper during the week...
We go down there 2-3 times a year....
I can give you a list of places to go in the Smokeys too..

We liked Park Vista also...(in Gatlinburg)
It was nice because they have a shuttle that takes you downtown and the views are awesome...
Best Western Twin Islands(in Gatlinburg) was nice too...It is really close to the aquarium and mall..
