Places to stay between Pensacola and Tallahassee?

Hi- We'll be heading down in May. We actually live outside of Baton Rouge, but are looking for somewhere to stop and spend the night between Pensacola and Talahassee. We'd like something about 4-5 hours from our house- I see that Defuniak Springs is about that far- 4 hrs 44 minutes it shows from my house. Would that be OK just for an overnight stay? We'll just get there about 11pm and get up to go at about 6 or 7 AM. Anyone have other ideas? We'll leave home at about 6 PM on a Friday night. Want to get to Disney as early as possible Saturday to not too rushed for CM ADR. Thanks in advance!

I'm a fan of the Holiday Inn Express chain. They're newer hotels and have that great breakfast that includes their famous cinnamon rolls.

A couple exits prior to DeFuniak Springs, there is a HIE at Crestview.
A few exits after DFS, there is a HIE at Chipley.
