Places to eat outside the parks but close by

DS 14 and I will be driving down in March for 7 nights!!!!! We are staying on site at Pop Century and will most likely eat all of our meals on site somewhere. I would like to eat at an Olive Garden as we don't have one near us. Is there one nearby? I don't want to have to fight a lot of traffic (makes it not worth it at all for me) or drive more than a few minutes. If not Olive Garden, any other good places not to expensive nearby?

There is an Olive Garden. We ate there this past trip. It was very close to where we stayed (Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista). I looked it up and am pretty sure it was this location - 12361 APOPKA-VINELAND ROAD. It looks like there in one on International Drive too but that would be a little further away. We also ate at Lone Star one night.

Along the same lines, there is a Bahama Breeze not too far. I don't recall the exact street it's on, as my DH always does the driving. We don't have one of these around us, but we love going when we're at Disney. BTW, they are in the same group (Darden) as POlive Garden and Red Lobster.

I like Cracker Barrel and I know that there are a couple not far from WDw.

There is a Macaroni Grill right outside downtown disney. In the same area is a chilis and joes crab shack

Wouldn't recommend Pizzeria Uno, pizza tasted like it was frozen kind, plus way too much cheese, so much that it didn't melt all the way. It's in the Crossroads Plaza, outside of Downtown Disney

We always love to go to Ponderosa which is just outside Disney on the 192. With a 10% coupon from the discount books, you get all-you-can-eat for a little over $8 a person.

Take a right at the intersection across from the entrance of Downtown Disney (is it Hotel Plaza Blvd.?) and take a left at the light (at this point you will be right across from the Crossroads Shopping Center) which is Apopka-Vineland Rd. and Olive Garden and Romano's Macaroni Grill are on that road. We prefer Macaroni Grill to Olive Garden even though they are similar, but that's just our personal preference.
