Hi. I like to carry onto the ship a case of water and beer/wine. Can anyone recommend a store near the Vancouver port and/or shop at one of the Alaska ports?

ETA I meant a case of water, a bottle of wine and a 6-pack. A case of each woud make the trip waayyyy too much fun!!!

I bought booze at a "BC Liqour" store that was a few blocks from the port. It's a huge store with a wide selection. At the time, DCL allowed you to bring on spirits and I bought a bottle of Cuban rum on board.

thought I read somewhere there was a costco near the port? dont 100% hold me to that though.

Don't think there is alcohol at Vancouver's Costco. Can someone confirm?

I too recommend the Signature store.... Grab dinner on nearby Robson while hauling your stash back to your hotel.

That is correct, you can't buy alcohol at Costco or any grocery stores in Vancouver.

If you are looking to buy a case of water the Costco downtown would be the closest. It is accessible by Skytrain at the Stafium Station on the Expo line. Only 3 stops from Waterfront Station (the port). Keep in mind you can also buy beer and wine (but not spirits) at beer and wine stores. There is one at West Hastings and Richards which is on the way to Costco if you are walking.

Just Remember they also changed how much alcohol you can bring with you last year
