Places to buy a Kindle?

My mother wants a kindle, but she wants to actually see one in person first. So, does anyone know if there is a store that sells Kindles that she can go to? She's interested in the Kindle DX. Thanks for any info.

Target actually carries them in store now, if you have one near you.

ETA - I just noticed you said she wanted the DX. I'm not sure if Target is carrying that one or not, but they do have the regular Kindles on display.

Something to consider when buying a DX....

Amazon has recently begun offering the Kindle DX Graphite.

I apologize for not knowing all of the details, but one of the biggest changes is the coloring of the case.

The Graphite comes with a dark gray case as opposed to the white case of the original.

Supposedly, the darker case fools the eye into believing that the contrast between the background and the font is greater.

Many people have put a dark adhesive "skin" on Kindles with the white case in order to achieve this effect.

Just something to consider when making your decision.
