Placeholder Questions

I have two questions:

• Placeholder was made on 12/6/2019 (started that cruise on 11/30 - made last day) and will be used on a 12/5/2021 cruise will the 10% discount apply?
• If I send the placeholder #s to Dreams can they just use it or do I need to call DCL first to do something?

1) Yes, as long as the cruise embarks within the 24-month window, the 10% discount will apply. I did not check black-out dates but early Dec. is probably not one.

2) Unfortunately, no. The placeholder must be transferred to a TA within 30 days. Since you made the placeholders in Dec. 2019, that window has long past. You will need to book direct with DCL to use the placeholder.

Can I book then transfer? I screwed up not naming them originally. More or less just trying to support them with my business for whatever credit they might get.

I don't believe so. Once that 30 day window has passed, I haven't heard of anyone being allowed to transfer. Your placeholder has a confirmation number even without a date, and that confirmation number will be attached to your actual booking; so it's essentially modifying the placeholder reservation.
