This is mine and my husbands first trip to WDW. Where is the best place to stay for couples? I know there is going to be a lot of kids, who's kidding who it's DW, but I would like to stay somewhere where there are fewer kids.

The cabins at Fort Wilderness have great privacy, are very quiet and are a true home away from home. They even have maid service!

Yacht or Boardwalk are great. Poly has construction or else I would recommend.

Coronado Springs and the Swan and Dolphin because they are big convention hotels. Otherwise the deluxes will have relatively fewer children. Values will by far have the most choices (they're also the biggest resorts...)

I can recommend a DCL cruise. There are separate adult only areas on the ships. DW and I have taken 6 DCLs by ourselves and if you have the late dining you will encounter even fewer kids.

kids are all over the place.

what is your budget?
value - Pop - it is popular with adults - couples and singles - it generally does not have the big groups that are at the All stars

moderate - POFQ - it is smaller than the other moderates - so getting around it not a problem - that say still love POR - now it does attract more kids.

deluxe - WL/VWL - it is close to MK but you need a boat or bus to get there - it is cheaper than the monorail hotels.

deluxe villa - BLT - walking distance to MK - okay my favorite and it does have kids. probably for you - maybe the new VGF - it is more expensive so less kids - you need to boat or monorail to the mk - no walking - again because of this less kids.

OKW - it has lots of adults and kids generally go to the main pool - so the place is definitely quiet. that say it is more like a community than a hotel - some people like it others don't

My Husband and I did pop for our first kidless trip, we do moderate with the kids but glad we saved the money, we were never there!! They had two pools, one seemed more popular for the kids and other was quiet.

I'm no WDW expert, but we stayed at Boardwalk last year and loved it. I've heard it has less of a family draw than Yacht or Beachclub, but I don't know that's true.

I have been to Port Orleans Riverside many times and loved it. Very romantic, and few children. DH and I were just at the Boardwalk for Valentine's Day, and I would agree there were a lot less children than I was expecting.

POFQ was pretty quiet when I stayed there, It's small so easy to get around, and usually has it's own bus to most parks. Plus the ferry to DD was nice, relaxing, and could be very romantic - the one pool there is rather childlike, but you have access to the pools at POR as well.

CSR is very quiet. We're going to stay at CBR this trip without the kids, I may upgrade to AKL if I find a money tree. ;-)
