Hi guys!! I have never eaten at Napoli, but I have eaten at Naples Pizzeria in Bethesda, MD. I just found out they are both owned by the same group. I found the pizza at Naples to be nothing out of the ordinary. Not bad, but the favors were underwhelming.

Has anybody eaten at both Napoli and a Naples site? Are they the same or are Napoli's pizzas baked with special Disney magic?

Thanks!

They're the same pizza. Like literally the same. We love it it because we get our Via Napoli fix at home (Arancini and the Quattro Formaggi pizza). But make sure you eat inside the restaurant, the take-out window pizza never turns out very good.

We had a pizza at Via Napoli last Saturday--pretty ordinary. Pappa Johns is better. Should add the service at the restaurant was excellent.

The service was excellent. Very fast if that's what you are looking for. We ate there once 6 years ago on our last trip and again in April this year and was very underwhelmed with the pizza. Floppy crust. Hardly any toppings. Half of the pizza was burned underneath both times....I know they call it charred, but I won't go back for burnt pizza. I have a really hard time seeing the reviews and people call it the best pizza in WDW.

To me the pizza there is more like a flatbread than a real pizza---

It is one of many different styles of pizza available. It is obviously different than your preferred style of "real pizza". We enjoy it very much, charred crust and all.
Neither of us is right a and neither is wrong. Just different styles.

I dream about Via Napoli's pizza every day LOL. It is so good and one of my favorites on property.

Two very different kinds of pizza, like comparing apples and oranges. Via Napoli is authentic wood-fired, very thin crust. Some people prefer thicker pizzas and may not like what they get at Via Napoli.

The pizza is fine. I wouldn't go as far as saying Papa John's is better. My main complaint is that for wood fired, the crust is way too floppy. It should be crisp if they were firing them properly.

Flippers will deliver to your resort, another option to consider.

Service was indeed excellent. I was actually a little embarrassed at having three waiters constantly checking on me. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I felt like my local Bertucci's has a more robust flavor. Thanks for all the responses.

We love VN in Epcot (we are fans of all different types of pizzas ranging from stuffed to the wood fired flat ones), and it is one of our favorite restaurants in WDW. With that being said, we are heading to DLR in June and they too have a Naples Pizzeria in their DTD that we will be dining at and I am so glad to hear that they are the same because when we were looking at the menu, that is all that we kept thinking of was how similar the two restaurants are :goodvibes.
