pizza restaurant in Scottsdale or Phoenix?

I read an article in our local newspaper about a "world famous" pizza place in Phoenix or Scottsdale. Of course I didn't write down the name and DH and I will be visiting out there in August.

Supposedly its a really good place with long wait times any day of the week.
Any AZ experts have any ideas?

Was it Pizzaria Bianco? I just saw a thing about it in Rachel Ray's magazine.

Just read about the same restaurant in Rachel Ray's magazine too. She set up a college style bracket to see which pizza place came out first if they were head to head against one another, and it ended up being Pizzaria Bianco that won. I'd certainly give it a try if I were in the area.

Oh, and I believe it was in Phoenix.

Pizzaria Bianco is in downtown Phoenix. It's wood fired pizza, and not really my thing, but people absolutely rave about it. It's usually quite busy, but friends have told me you should at least try it once.

Yep- Pizzaria Bianco downtown. I have never been. I tried once but there was a 4 hour wait. This is typical for a Friday/ Saturday night. I allowed for 3 hours but not 4, so we ate somewhere else. I have heard that it is 1.5-2.5 during the week, so I may try that. I have also heard you can get there at like 3 and line up outside for when they open at 5. They do have a bar next door that they send you to to wait. If you are willing to make a whole night of it, I have heard great things! One day, I will do it!

Skip the pizza and eat at Rubios and In and Out. When we drove home west to east last Christmas, Phoenix was the last city on our route that had these yummy places.
