Pizza party for daycare teachers - how much pizza?

We've decided to have Domino's Pizza deliver pizza to our DS's daycare teachers on the day that they choose. They are running the $5 special right now (3 medium pizzas for $5 each). Is that enough for 8-12 women? We might send some dippin dots for dessert too. I know that DH and I can put away a medium pizza by ourselves. But then we are big eaters. I want to make sure there is enough for all the main teachers and the subs/floaters too.

each has 8 slices so there would be 24 slices in all. 3 peices per person for 8, 2 pieces per person for 12. I'd guess the typical person eat 2-3 pieces if they have salad or somethign else to go with it.

That's nice of you. I would order more than you think you need - another $5 is a pretty cheap way of insuring everyone gets enough.

And ask Dominoes to cut it into squares instead of triangles. I've found that people eat less if it is in small squares. We have a mental block against eating too many "pieces" even if the pieces are tiny! I always figure 3 people per medium pizza. Some will eat more, some less.

I would count on 1/2 to 1/3 pizza per teacher. Might be too much but you would rather have too much than not enough. Are you doing this right after school? Do any of the teachers have preschool age children that will also be there. Most of my teachers have at one time or another had a child in the program. Are there others that might be there? We seem to always have someone or another at our school and it would be embarassing not to include them if they have a conection to the program. Our secretary for example is VERY important to our school, as is the pastor of our church preschool.
I think this is such a kind gester for you all to do. Preschool teachers work because of the love of the children, not because of great pay or benefits. They will be gratefull.
