Pizza Oom Mow Mow

I will first state that I'm not a huge fan of Pizza Port. Dh and DS like their pizza, though.

But NONE of us enjoyed POMM, even though we got the same cheese pizza there that we get at Pizza Port. It was just nasty to us.

If you really want pizza while in DCA that might be your only choice, but I'd go to Wine Country Trattoria for a different sort of meal, if your family is open to their menu. :)

...Or eat at Naples in DTD. Their smallest pizza is big enough to feed at least two people, so I can't imagine how many folks could eat their larger pizzas!!

I've got to 2nd (and 3rd) the tone here. We like the pizza at Pizza Port so much better! However, we usually get the chicken fusilli. Also the salads at PP are 10 x's better than POMM. Their salads are a joke! :confused3 Last time I had the BBQ chicken at POMM it was good, though barley warm. And I had to wait about 20 min. while the found the BBQ sauce to put on top. This was at about 2 p.m. and the definitely weren't busy.

I like the chicken fusilli found at both places. Never tried their pizza though...

I had a salad at POMM and was not happy with it. The kids had kids' meals and they were OK with them. DBF had a chicken BBQ pizza that was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!! I've never seen it anywhere else in the parks and it was the best pizza. I wouldn't eat anything but that if we ever went back.

Okay, looks like POMM is a scratch! I'll browse the menus in the sticky thread some more :) DH loves most Italian so I may try one of the other places mentioned. Thanks for the heads up!

My girls like the pizza and chicken fusilli from both restaurants. I like the fusilli but don't like the pizza at either place. POMM also doesn't have the meatballs with the spaghetti, one of the items I like and share with one of my kids.

Working at a family owned pizza place, I'm COMPLETELY judgmental and biased when it comes to pizza. I was VERY disappointed with the amounts of toppings that are put on the pizzas at both locations. If I had to pick one though, I'd go with Pizza Port. The alternative that I believe in 100% is going with Sherry's suggestion and going to Naples. You're gonna get 10x better pizza (in my opinion) and more for your money!

My family TOTALLY HATES Pizza Oom Mow Mow. We went there in 2006 and have refused to go back! Just really nasty, nasty pizza. We can't judge on the other dishes - we just had pizza! But, who wants to pay $30 for a disgusting pizza?

If it's nice outside, you can't beat the Tratoria for alfresco dining in the afternoon. The first time we ordered too much (because the portions were big), the second time the wife & i split a sandwich & wife had some wine.

The lasagna was good too. As were the deserts. :thumbsup2
