Which one has better pizza? Which do you prefer? Any chance they are the same pizza recipe?

No I am pretty sure they are not the same and we really prefer Redd Rockets. Never been very impressed with Pizza Oom Mow Mow - not bad but typical theme park pizza. It always reminds of the pizza we get at the mall. But we love Red Rockets!! The pizza is good - actually quite good if you get it right out of the oven. And the pasta and salads are great too. My DD and I share a either a salad and pasta or a salad and slice of pizza.

The BBQ Chicken pizza at Pizza Oom Mow Mow was really good, but the salad was gross and the kids pizza wasn't good. We'd rather go to Pizza Port, it's much more consistent and better.

They are both Disney restaurants and you'd expect them to be pretty much the same, but I agree that Redd Rockett's is better than Pizza Oom Mow Mow. The pizza itself isn't that different any more (when POMM first opened it was *awful*!), but I think RR has a better menu overall.

RR is way better. POMW had the worst pizza I've ever tasted, even taking frozen pizza into account.

We just got back from our 1st trip to DLR. And I had read before we left that the pizza was really bad at Omm mow mow. Well when we were there, we wanted something other than burgers, and we were in the area so we decided to try it ( I figured how bad can it really be?:confused3)... all I could think of while I was choking down that horrible pizza was "why didn't I listen to the DIS"...:lmao:

I would avoid Oom Mow Mow at all cost! and I guess others already knew that, because the other restaurants were pretty busy, but this place was dead, no wonder!

Redd Rockett's all the way. Even if we are super hungry and standing next to POMM and my kid is screaming for pizza, we will not eat there.

Ah...so Redd Rockets it is! :cool1: I was going through the menus and it seemed that they were very similar in price and offerings and I've seen both in person, and I think I've even had RRPP before, but couldn't remember if I liked it. I think I was a young teen and at that age where pizza is pizza! Thx DISers!

I love Red Rockets! But I always thought they should call it Pizza Planet... (toy story)

If you like pasta, try the chicken fusilli, it is so good! DH and I split that and a salad or breadsticks when we are there. :thumbsup2

I think Omm Mow Mow has improved recently. I do not detect any significant difference in the pizza. My kids love chicken fusilli and since they found out they could get it at Omm Mow Mow that has become their favorite Disneyland Resort restaurant. They even believe that they get better chicken fusilli at Omm Mow Mow. In my opinion Redd Rockets has one of the worst food service layouts at a Disney park, especially if you want pasta. It is crowded and chaotic during busy meal times as people try to figure out where to wait in line for food and wonder why people are cutting in front of them. Redd Rockets dining area often appears like it has not been cleaned in awhile. My kids know that a trip to Redd Rockets at meal time is sure to put their DD in a grouchy mood. On the other hand, you can get similar food at Omm Mow Mow in a much more orderly and relaxed atmoshphere. The eating area is always clean and the restaurant is never too crowded. This DD votes Omm Mow Mow over Redd Rockets if for no other reason than the dining exerience.

R2P2 is the only quick service place I'll eat in the parks. The salads are superb! And my kids will actually eat the kids meals.
I agree about the layout being confusing, but they usually have a CM doing a great job of explaining the stations to everyone. Once you figure out how to grab what you want, and go, it works.

I have to agree with you. We've had both recently and to me they're exactly the same. Neither are good, they're both mediocre, at best. But POMM is much cleaner.
Try the Wine Country Tratorria, the prices are really great for a TS meal. It's our favorite restaurant in DLR/DCA.

I agree! Especially since they opened after Toy Story had already been out. Disneyland Paris has a Pizza Planet though. I wish I'd gotten pictures when I was there, but I left my camera at the hotel that day. :-( It was themed very much like the one in the movie with lots of Toy Story stuff. My brothers and I thought it was pretty cool simply because they did with the theming what we'd always hoped our own Disneyland had done. The pizza there was so-so, but they had this interesting thing I've never seen anywhere else that was a pizza burger -- a hamburger between two mini pizzas. Not fantastic, but interesting and unique.

WOW that is so cool! I'm trying to squeeze in a day for DL paris next year while I'm in europe... I definitely want to see the Pizza Planet!

I just checked out the menu for POMM ~ and it has what we order at RR - the Chicken Fusilli, so next time we feel like it and we're at CA we'll stop by and check it out.
