I don't pretend to be an authority but I know what I like and what I don't. We went to Via Napoli in August when they were having their soft opening and we loved the pizza. It is expensive but then my DH & I each ordered our own individual pizza when we could have just split one.

This thread makes me laugh, as we had this same conversation on the way home from the world the other day-

I am extremely easy to please in the pizza department (ummm.... I like the school rectangle pizza, I like Chicago pizza, I like New York Pizza, I like the pizza I had in Northern Italy, and I like the pizza I had in Venice, and I like the $5 Big Cheese pizza up the street from us ) Very easy to please!!! Pizza Planet is super yummy to me. Low standards when it comes to pizza

The rest of my family actually has standards! They all agree that Via Napoli has fantastic pizza, 3 of them tried 3 different pizzas (One with prosciutto & canteloupe) and they all LOVED theirs.

I don't think the pizza at Via Napoli needs improving. It's quite good. But it is Neapolitan style pizza, not American style.

My favorite is the Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza at the Contempo Cafe in Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Some of those rectangle school pizzas kicked butt though. I know someone that works in a school and the ones they get are pretty tasty.

I think it depends on what you are used too, I am a Philly girl and can say don't waste your time on pizza in Florida

The quick service pizza at Disney is edible. That's about the only good thing I can say about it. Its all from the same kitchen and tastes the same. We haven't eaten at Via Napoli yet so I can't comment on their pizza.

I also haven't eaten at the Boardwalk Pizza Window since Spoodle's closed but we always thought their pizza was decent. Made a good quick meal when we stayed at Boardwalk or Beach Club.

Our favorite so far is WPE. My hopes are very high for Via Napoli!

I think the pizzas at all other WDW locations are pretty gross.


Any other homemade pizza makers out there considering trying your own prosciutto and melon version at home? I am probably going to give it a try. It just sounds so good and February is a lon-n-n-ng way off...

I like the pizzas at Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Wolfgang Puck Express, but California style is essentially an different product altogether. I'm from New York, and I think of pizza as hand-stretched thin-crust dough baked with sauce and cheese. Toppings are used sparingly and according to individual taste. I call the stuff at Wolfgang Puck's "designer" pizza, but it's quite tasty! I especially like the one with roasted vegetables and pesto.

I'm sorry, I must disagree.
If you are from a city with Italian food made by people of real Italian descent, you will find nothing in WDW acceptable. (I'll exclude Via Napoli from this assessment, because I haven't yet tried it.) The pizza at the WDW QS locations is a small step above Dominos.

The pizza on the Boardwalk is completely different than the other QS locations, and it is just as bad, but in a different way.

Giordano's is OK. (Not great)

I haven't tried Flippers, so I can't comment.

I've also seen NYPD pizza recommended by DISers, but again, I haven't tried it.

LOL! What about the California Grill? I never had there Pizza, but always hear good things. What that Pizza Planet not 2 good? LOL! I can eat any pizza, I'm like a little kid & I'd say that's who the pizza in WDW is geared towards. I have only had it @ some food courts & delivered to our room. It's got a sweet sauce & thick crust [2 dense if u ask me] Like I said I CAN eat it. But it's not really all that good.

Dont dis on Dominos. At least the dominos I've had are FAR better then pizza in the world..

The BEST pizza I had, was a red baron from one of the DVC resort stores that I cooked in the oven of a 1 bedroom when we bought DVC and burnt some DVC 'free' points while we were still on vacation. God that pizza was the best thing EVER!!!

How is the Margherita pizza at Via Napoli? Which size should we order for 2 adults & one 10 yr old boy( avg. size kid)? This will be our first meal on arrival day at 5:45. Oh just check the sizes & prices on allearsnet.com. Is this pizza worth $34

In the end, we didn't eat any pizza during our WDW trip. DW was tempted at Il Mulino, but opted for the chicken parmesean instead.

But we did spend 2 afternoons snacking around F&W!

We at a Via Napoli last month. Had a pepperoni pizza. Best meal we have had on property. Loved it

We had the half meter - 3 adults & 2 children. One of the adults had the Pollo salad but still ate some pizza. We could not finish the pizza and had no room for dessert.

I was also able to try the pizza at WPE and it was good.

The rest of the pizza I have eaten/seen on property has been not so great.
