We will be staying at BWV next week and were wondering if pizza could be delivered to our room. We really like Giordano's pizza and were wondering if they delivered to the room. thanks.

I believe they do but I remember a post not that long ago about delivery drivers not being able to take it to a room. I beleive that they go to the lobby and someone will call you to come down. We had great pizza at the Dolphin last week which is a short walk from the BW and they will box it to go for you or you can eat it there. I love Giordano's too.;)

They have one in Florida now?? I dunno if I'd order one; would be too much like real 'home'.

I remember not that long ago when there were approximately five restaurants, one still being roughly a block from where I live :D

I've been compiling a list for a while now; here's what I have so far. If anyone has any others to add to this list, please email me or PM me, and I'll add it to the list.

I post this whenever I see the question.

These places should deliver to OKW, BWF, and Beach club Villas; don't know about delivery to WLV.

Everywhere but OKW, they driver will not be allowed to deliver to your room; you'll need to meet them in the lobby.

I posted our experience with Giordano's delivery to BWV when we returned from our June visit home. When you order, they will ask for your room number. Upon arrival at the gated entrance to the BW, the driver will have the guard call your room to let you know your delivery has arrived and ask you to meet the driver at the front entrance. Walk down, pay for your pizza and etc, tip the driver, and take your delicious pizza and etc back to your room for an outstanding in-room dining experience. We like Giordano's pizza much better than the room service or take out from Spoodles.

Note that if you are in an area where Giordano's has restaurants, you may see discount coupons (say $2 off on a large pizza). I inquired about using these on future trips and was informed that they are honored throughout the chain. The coupon fliers we see here in the Chicago suburbs include the two restaurants in Florida in their location listing.

The Giordano's delivery menu is available here: http://www.giordanos.com/ . This is handy to have, since you may want to order a side salad, other entrees, or some particular topping for your pizza.

Well, in June, at least, Papa John's did deliver to the room at OKW. The reason I remember specifically is that DS was a driver back home at the time. As we were coming out the door of our studio, a Papa John's delivery driver was coming to the unit next door to us. As he approached carrying the pizza, I asked DH "Is Matt coming all this way to surprise us?"

As JillU-DVC reported, everywhere but OKW the driver is not allowed to deliver to your room. The original poster in this thread will be staying at BWV. Because OKW is laid out as condo/townhouse units, with parking nearby each unit, a delivery driver has a reasonable chance of finding a place to put his/her vehicle while making the delivery. Even multiple delivery vehicles at the resort at the same time will not cause a significant problem. BWV units are laid out as hotel suites. A delivery driver would have to find parking near the entryway and take some amount of time to walk through the halls to find the room. By having the guest go to the lobby or entryway to meet the delivery driver, the time the vehicle is taking up a parking space in front of the building is minimized. Not as convenient as OKW, but I find it acceptable practice. Also, BWV has "in-house" room service (something not available at OKW), so there is some incentive for the management to discourage use of outside food service operations (or at least to avoid encouraging them). When I inquired at Guest Services regarding a list of pizza restaurants that deliver, the CM told me that I could order pizza from room service and that they were not supposed to give out such information. I used the yellow pages to find Giordano's phone number. (I wonder what the answer would have been if I'd asked about Chinese food delivery?)

They tell you go to Epcot? :teeth:

This is fascinating information. Something we've never done, as there's so many food sources at Disney, plus what we bring in ourselves on a grocery run that outside delivery has never been an interest. Might change for our next one.

Thanks for that list! I'm entering it into my palm asap.

For those who decide to order pizza from room service be prepared for the white linens and crystal that come with it. I was a bit disconcerted when the waiter came into the room to set a beautiful table for us, complete with a flower in a vase! All we wanted to do was veg in front of the tv with our pizza but after all that trouble we felt obligated to use the pretty table. ;)
