Sorry -- just returned from Vegas yesterday. Came into work to devestating changes and have been reeling ever since. I will mail tomorrow prior to going to ATL to see Mamma Mia!

I'm back from the shore and I did mail the embellishment box while I was there to marlynnp. I sent it on Tuesday, so I would think she has it by now, but my DC# is upstairs...

I received the paper box yesterday! I'm going to go through it a second time today and then add my papers to it. I'll have it in the mail tomorrow.

I got the box today. I already went through it once (might take a second look). And I have put some papers in (and took some out). I'll get it in the mail on Tuesday - when I have to go back to campus.

Just wanted to send an update. I still have the box - it's ready to go, but I don't have a car right now. On Monday, I had to take it to a body shop because the driver's door is not sealed proper (from a 2 year old accident) and the car turned into a swimming pool after a bad storm. I was supposed to get the car back today, but they can't get the wetness out - and they took EVERYTHING apart and having been drying it with fans for two days. As soon as I have a car, the box will be back in business. Sorry guys.

Thanks! I did get my car back last night. The most random weird things always happen to me - what I thought (and the body shop thought too) was causing the swimming pool was the improper seal of the driver's door BUT NO, weirdness of weirdness, my cowl panel (???) was full of leaves and debris from the lovely oak trees in my apartment complex. The leaves clogged the panel causing the rain water to have no where to go except into my car! The good thing is the guys at the body shop took pity on me (sometimes it's good to play the damsel in distress) and are saying it was caused by the accident in '06 (lack of removal of glass and metal), so I don't have to pay another deductible. So I have my ride, it's smells lovely, and I will be going to the PO today - even though they are closed, the box will be there when they open!

I know I'm not part of this but would someone please tell me all about this particular swap? It sounds fun and interesting and maybe there will be another one in the future. Also it sounds as tho there is two going at the same time?

This is one in which everyone who wants to participate sends their information to the person in charge (buffy) in this case and then using the addresses Buffy starts box of papers she doesn't want or need anymore- moving around so those closest to one another pass it along. As you get the box you go through and pull out the things you think you need or want and then add in things you have that other might want, ect. It then passes to the next person and will continue until it is back at Buffy. We try to start these once a year. Some of the boxes have disappeared times but people will volunteer things to get them going again. There is also a box of embellishments s opposed to paper that include things like stickers, ribbons, inks, stamps, fiber, brads, eyelets, ect.
