What type of crust is the pizza? Thin only? I have picky eaters that prefer thick crust, or at least a thin crust that isn't overwhelmingly crunchy.

fyi- pizza crust and buns(hot dog/hamburger) are all mutligrain now. just incase you have any allergies or peeps with bowel disease in your group. i was very happy to come home after two weeks of multigrain! lol

Thanks twokids0204 for the links of the pictures. Didn't realize there were threads w/ all of those pictures. I think I gained pounds just oogling at the pictures. :goodvibes

Funny that you mentioned the multigrains and bowel diseases; I have ulcerative colitis. There are several foods I have to avoid eating due to this disease, but whole grains isn't one. In fact, I do better w/ a high fiber diet and eat only 100% whole grains so I'm glad to hear of the switch. I know it's harder for people to eat whole grains if they're not used to it, and it is easier for your body if you switch to foods w/ a lot of fiber if you do it gradually. Hope your stomach's happier now that your home. :)

i do too! but in my case i can't touch the stuff! sadly it hasnt settled down at all, i've been in a very active flare since the early fall last year. the pizzas nearly killed me! eek! been waiting for an emergnecy scope now for 6 weeks. sorry it just irritates me that i told them this in september and they've waited this long. depending on scope i may end up on remicade. sorry i kinda sidetracked your thread!

It looks very similar to the pizza at Pinnochio's at MK. Anyone had both who could compare?

Thanks! :goodvibes

Yikes!!! Sorry to hear your having so much trouble. I know just what it's like being in a flare up--absolutely no fun. Hope you get better soon!

All of the CS pizza in the parks is the same - thick crust. This goes for Pizzafari, Pizza Planet, Pinnochio's Village Haus, and many of the resort QS locations. I believe the pizza at the Boardwalk is different.

I have another question about the pizza at Toy Story, Pizzafari, et. al, if anyone can help. Years ago, we used to find that the pizza at WDW was very dry (low oil, if any). My mom has IBS and can't eat "regular" pizza, but used to be able to eat the pizza at Disney. Does anyone know if they've changed the recipe, or is it still "dry?" Her benchmark was that she didn't have to blot it, if that helps; I know this is a slightly strange question, but I'd appreciate any answers!

I'm one of the few that really likes the pizza at Toy Story Pizza Planet (or maybe I've only been reading the negative reviews of this place) but I LIKE IT! And my favorite food is pizza! I really like the new multigrain crust especially since I never eat white bread/crust/rolls at my house. I think it makes for a more substantial bite of food and I like the multigrain texture and it is definitely a softer, thicker crust and not a thin, crispy crust. I particularly like the veggie pizza they have at Pizza Planet along with the med/greek salad (but I think that salad only comes as an entree).

Just my opinion though because my husband says it is just ok. My kids think it is fine but they only eat the cheese off of pizza and not the crust.

i know what you mean as dh makes his own yummy pizza and i have to blot the oil off the mozzarella, yuck! i havent had to do this at disney, but as i stated above their crusts are multigrain now, will she be able to eat them?

From everyone's responses, it sounds like my kids will like the crust and their pizza. We've never eaten pizza while at WDW, so I thought it might be a change of pace for them. They're not real big on burgers either, so the same chicken nuggets get a little old for them by the end of the week. We'll try the pizza, as it can't be any worse than the other foods we've tried at DHS. I'm just not a big fan of their CS options. Thanks for everyone's great responses; I'm excited to try a new place!

She can handle multigrain (in moderate doses)- it's really the oil that's the killer. Thanks for your input! :)
