Was it a room that only had 1 bed? only reason I ask when we went I asked for a balcony room and was told that they only sleep 2 people and as there was 4 of us they couldn't provide that but gave us a ground room floor with patio instead right by the park entrance which was lovely as it was summer.
Not sure how many are in your party but as I mentioned above I don't think the rooms with balconies sleep more then 2, it may have changed but that is what I was told when I stayed there.

Our balcony room had 2 queen beds in it, although we did stay there several years ago so things could have changed since then. My parents had the connecting room next door and they only had 1 bed in their room.
