pixing dusting for adults

I have been lurking i know lol bad but have got great tips from reading these boards. i was wondering about pixie dusting hair for adults. i thought it would be fun cause i will be there on my birthday. i have a few questions
how much is it??? what colors do they have??? I will be in the MK all day that day cause i have a castle dinner reservation and am afraid to leave cause Park will hit capacity that day. (lol b-day is May 5th) do you think it silly i want to pixie dust my hair??? this is not my first trip to wdw but is a trip of first for going on my birthday and staying at a monorail resort (poly yeah ) also best time would be in the morning i think. would appreciate any suggestions thanks

Certainly don't think it's silly, just FUN...and isn't that the Disney way! Besides, it's your birthday, do what you want! that being said, here's what I know:
I'd go first thing in the morning. They don't take appointments and the wait can get long. Last time we did it, we headed straight there at gate opening and were 3rd in line! Can't remember the exact cost, but want to say it was about $12 ish. And as far as colors, I think they can do whatever. One of my sons got blue. One wanted green so they mixed blue and yellow in their hand. It was cool! the color lasted all day...made quite a mess in the tub at the end of the day, but it cleaned out fine.

At the barber shop on Main Street when you get your hair cut at the end the barber usually turns you areound so you don't see, asks you to pick a color, and then puts a washable color gel in your hair and throws Mickey confetti on your hair and then sprays it to last all day. DH got this done last year and it was waaaayyy cool. Hair cut was $12 or 15. All three of us had a nice conversation during his haircut. When he was done the barber then pixie dusted me too!!!! I was so excited!!!! That was a little fun free of charge! I really recommend it! I saved the pixie dust that we shook out of our hair in a little baggie and it is priceless to me!

I was wondering that too. My DD-6 would love to have that done. I wounder if they could do a braid, or I would french braid it before we went, if they would dust her

The main street barber shop in the MK will cut your hair and sprinkle you with pixie dust (or you can just get dusted without the haircut). There are several other threads you can search for that have some pics posted or maybe someone else will respond on this one. Essentially, they color your hair with a cool colored gel and sprinkle you with a mixture of mickey shaped confetti, regular confetti, and glitter. It's very cool and definitely gets you noticed throughout the day!

Techinically NO, because I got pixie dust in my hair after they found out it was bday (left quiet a pile on one of the boats to Epcot from MGM!) when my friend got her son's haircut there. I'd ask but they could charge you?!

I'll be there on May 5th! Maybe I'll run into you there?!?

Does anyone know how much it costs to just get the pixie dust? I might tell my friend about this and have her trick her boyfriend into getting it done. I won't be back to WDW for another year so I'll have to live vicariously through them .

Oh wow - I had not heard of this before! I'll definitely have to take my DS's to have this done on our next trip. They would love it.

Is there usually much of a wait at the Barber shop? If so, what time of day is best? TIA
