Ok....I have never done a trip report online....so I hope you enjoy it.

Day 1- The day is finally here!!!

Up by 3:15am to get ready to go to the airport......My mom wakes up and tries to convince us to drive instead of flying (she suddenly decides she's afraid to fly-- What???) DH-who hasn't flown since he was a teenager looks as if he is contemplating the suggestion---UGH! I settle everyone down by some not so subtle threats. :)

We arrive in Orlando, after an uneventful plane ride and head to our favorite resort--Wilderness Lodge!!! I have surprised my mom and my DS(it is his birthday celebration) by booking the concierge floor for the first two days prior to moving to a one bedroom villa.

After we check in, the pixie dust starts flying--I am able to sign up for Flag Family!! Woo Hoo (more on this later).

Our room is ready so we go to check it out and drop everything off---there is a mickey towel animal on the bed and a chocolate canoe filled with chocolates waiting for us!!

The rooms look great after the renovation.....anyway it's off to MGM for our reservation at Sci Fi Diner.

After lunch we decide we are kind of tired and we head back to the Lodge for some much anticipated swimming and exploring.

When we get back to our room....there were balloons, a card from Mickey Mouse and a Pirate Pluto waiting for DS....he was so excited.

Day Two to follow........

Hi Pixiepop -- thanks for sharing your trip here! We stayed at WL and loved it, too. Not a renovated room, so there's something to look forward to in future, I guess!

Keep going ...

Day one sounds great! looking forward to the rest of it! :thumbsup2

Hey Pixie. It sounds like your DS is going to get lots of little surprises on his Birthday trip. Looking forward to day two.

Day 2~ Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to Epcot we go.........

We all wake up refreshed and ready to hit Epcot. We got to the park a little after opening......after a very scenic tour from the bus.... and headed to "the ball". Afterwards, we convinced my much cynical mom to try the less intense version of Mission Space. Once she rode it she LOVED it. We all built a robot, then headed over to Beaches and Cream for lunch. While waiting for our table my DS and the lovebugs had an all out battle....he finally retreated into the arcade and waited until our table was ready. We had a very yummy lunch and split a dessert.

Next, it was to the countries....our mission.......the candy lady. Well when we got there her cart wasn't there...I asked in the store and they said she didn't come in today. Well my mom wanted to go the pick a pearl and DS decided he wanted to do it too. He picked his pearl out first and got a very nice one. He had it set in a necklace with the Japaneese symbol for warrior.
He then picked my mom's oyster...she got twins!!!! Everyone made a big deal of it and one lady said she wanted my son to pick her pearl too. :)

At the end of the day, we headed back to the Lodge for some much needed rest and relaxation and of course a visit to the pool.

Day Three- the Birthday Extravagansa to follow.

Day 3 - My Son's 7th Birthday--The Pixie Dust was so thick I could barely see-

October 8th- is DS's 7th birthday we decided to go to Magic Kingdom- his favorite park!! We had our final breakfast at the concierge lounge, before checking out and checking into the villas. My son was complaining that his tooth hurt at breakfast---I went to take a look and found that he has two teeth coming in at the same time and one of the teeth is wiggly!! What joy!! My son has been dreaming of this day since he was 5 years old!!! What a great start to his day. The pixie dust begins......

At Magic Kingdom we were all dying to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean ride ....after the ride we were looking in the gift shop. A pirate came up to my son and asked if he would like to go on a treasure hunt....My son's eyes gleamed with greed.

He was given a pirate's hat and a hook and off they went with their map. At the end they found a pouch of treasure. The pirate indicated that my son got to keep the hat (it read Pirate of the Day), the hook and the pouch of treasure. He also got a special certificate...he was literally strutting after that.

At lunch, my mom and I decided we wanted a baked potato from Liberty Square, my DH got a pretzel...DS decided he wanted a hot dog. When we went to get his lunch, the lady saw his birthday pin and said his lunch was on Mickey today and to enjoy his birthday.

After a while we went back to the hotel for a swim and then off to Chef Mickey's for dinner.

I had arranged a special Mickey head shaped birthday cake for his celebration. It was awesome. After dinner, the CM whispered to me that the cake was on them.....boy that pixie dust is getting thick.

It was time to head back to the hotel for a special Wishes cruise that I had secretly arranged. It was so beautiful, I had never seen the fireworks before and to see them with the music was absolutely gorgeous. We also got to see the water parade as well. It was truly a magical day for us.

Up Next.... Blizzard Beach Here We Come!

WOW all the :wizard: you guys have gotten so far is great!!

What a lucky little birthday pirate! I bet that was a dream come true for him! :):):)

A special pirate on a very special day.

Day 4- Blizzard Beach

We decided to make the day after DS's birthday a relaxing one, so we decided to head to Blizzard Beach. It was a great day and we had a lot of fun. After we returned we went to Downtown Disney to look around and to eat at Earl of Sandwich. This is my husband's favorite restaurant at DW. Afterwards went back to the hotel to do some exploring and rest up for the next day.

Day 5 -MNSSHP- BOO!

We had early breakfast reservations at the Castle today. We grabbed the boat to the Contemperary and then the monorail to MK. When we got to the monorail station DS was asked if he would like to ride in the front of the monorail....it took him about a half a second to decide and it was off to the front we went. When we got to MK we were all given Co-pilot licenses--which DS thought was way cool and it was off to the castle for breakfast. After breakfast it was off to the rides--we also got to see COP. This was the first time DS ever got to see this attraction and it has been many years since I saw it. We all loved it....DS was singing It's a great big, beautiful tomorrow for days after.

Later that day it was off to the hotel to relax and get ready for the halloween party. DS was Captain Jack Sparrow, I was a pirate princess, complete with crown and DH wore a pirate t-shirt (the best that I could do) and my mom was Lucky the dog. That was a hoot!

We had a blast at the party--lot's of candy, great atmosphere and hardly any wait time for the rides.

wow!! :wizard: very exciting. what a great Bday for him! Happen to have any pics of all of this :wizard:?? I would love to see some!! hint, hint!! LOL...
either way, keep the recaps coming. :thumbsup2
