Pixiedust moments at Disney World

All these make me so happy to read about! I cannot wait to get our trip officially booked!

My last one happened in Sept 2013, when we brought our daughter when she was 9 months old. This was her first trip, and we were so excited. I kind of trained her early lol.. she was watching Disney Jr since she was 2 months old lol. So we decided to Fastpass Mickey at the Theater in MK.. He spent a good 5-10 minutes with us, of course interacting with the baby.. so much as to play peek-a-boo with her, let her kiss his nose and more. It was such a special moment because we happened to be the only family they had in the room at the time. It was amazing, and she loves Mickey (and all of the characters) more than words.

Sounds like you've had some really special moments but this one really melts my heart!

I love reading these stories! Our magical moment actually happened at Discovery Cove last spring...my DS has several food allergies and the chef prepared a safe meal for him and brought it out right to our table and then mid-way through the meal, he came back out with a tray filled with packaged safe desserts (brownies, jelly beans, cookies) and not only did he have a package of each of those treats for my DS, he brought some for my DD as well. What a way to include both kids and make them feel extremely special. My DS still talks about his special meal and how his sister also got special treats that day!

We had an amazing time. I tear up just thinking about it. :) I cannot wait to go back! 102 days!! :)

Our is from the trip we just returned from. We had FP to see Anna and Elsa, my DD dressed up like Anna, but my younger DS dressed up like Olaf. We were the last group in the room and after everyone else had left we got a picture with both Anna and Elsa which isn't done anymore. It was just awesome and I love the pictures of Anna and Elsa together with small Elsa and Olaf.

Ours was my daughter being Beast in Enchanted Tales w Belle. We were traveling with 10 people (my family of four, my brother and SIL, and both sets of grandparents) and it was our first MK day. That morning there was a bit of frustration because one set of grandparents was very late and missed the first castle approach of the group and some of the first rides. We were rushing around trying to get the rest of the rides and FP in before our lunch ADR, and it was time for Enchanted Tales with Belle (which none of us had ever seen). So we go in, and they start asking for people in roles. My little tiny 4 year old blonde princess-loving daughter was chosen to be the Beast. (She can do a good roar!). Some others got roles too (my brother a guard, my SIL the wardrobe, etc). Little did we know that the Beast gets to do this dramatic walk up the middle aisle at the end, and do a nice long solo dance with Belle just one-on-one!! There was not a dry eye in the family and it was SO special, she was totally enchanted by Belle and it was utterly moving. We must have taken hundreds of pictures. It suddenly brought everyone together in a way only Disney can, it was the one moment from that trip I will never forget no matter how many years go by! I still get a little teary just thinking about it. :)

I'll never forget the time my family and I stayed at Marriott Orlando World resort, and I had a major accident. My mom, my godfather, and I had just flown in from Oregon, and we were all pretty tired. I was using a rollator at the time which is one of those wheeled walkers that has a built in seat in it, and hand brakes along with a back support. The kinds you see most people using today. We decided to go eat dinner at one of the hotel restaurants since we were all pretty hungry. I was sitting on the seat because my back couldn't tolerate me walking the distance we were going. Even though we had been sitting all day on the plane. My mom was pushing the walker. They had just put down new carpeting in one section. But, failed to properly secure it. The front wheels of my rollator caught on the gap, and sent me over backwards in a somersault with my mom flying over me. I had just had a hip replacement surgery a few months earlier, and I had landed on my new hip which was beginning to hurt badly.

A hotel employee saw what happened, and came over to see if my mom, and I were OK. My mom was fine. She was more worried about me. But, I was in a lot of pain as I kept telling my mom, "My new hip hurts" over, and over. Even thought I had hit my head on the hard floor which resulted in a huge headache afterward. The employee had the manager come over, and he called 911 after seeing me. One ambulance ride later to the hospital in Celebration left both my mom, and I with a lot of worries. After getting checked out. The x-ray showed that my hip replacement was still intact, and the pain I was feeling was probably just the muscle around it. Needless to say. We got a free stay at the hotel out of that trip, and was still able to continue going to the parks.

I actually just remembered another one and I don't know why I didn't think to mention it in my original post. This one was on the same trip I mentioned before and I think was my favorite moment from the entire trip! It was our last day and we finally made it to MK for rope drop. My daughter's favorite character at the time was Minnie and she was all decked out in her Minnie dress and ears. We made it in and were the first in line for the Minnie M&G right when you enter the park. We were standing there waiting for Minnie to arrive and when she came up to get into place she saw my daughter at the front of the line and grabbed her hand and walked her over to the M&G spot. She was absolutely amazing with my daughter and spent a good amount of time with her and my daughter was infatuated. The photo pass photographer was great too, he took tons of pics of the whole interaction and they are just so sweet to look at. I definitely had tears in my eyes watching how excited my daughter was while it was all going on. It was a really great start to our final day.
