PIXIE HOLLOW-Soft opening

I was at DL yesterday and the official opening for Pixie Hollow is Tuesday, the 28th (same day as DVD comes out) but a few CMs told me that it will have a soft opening today (Saturday) and more than likely be opening from now on. Of course, a soft opening is never a guarantee, but I wish I could check it out today.

Pixie Hollow in DL is where Ariel's shell used to be in King Triton's Gardens. It's between Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters and the Matterhorn. Looking forward to hearing about it.

I was there earlier today! I posted some pictures on a seperate thread. It was awesome. A long wait but that was to be expected. The line is very cute. The fairies were very talkative which could explain part of the long wait. My dd was not rushed at all and was able to interact for a few minutes with Tinkerbelle.

We really did not feel as if we were shrinking. We went being surrounded by normal sized trees and such and then stepped into extremely tall "grass". DD asked the CM about this and she explained to dd that the fairies use pixie dust to bring this part of pixie hollow to DL each day. They need to save thier pixie dust to bring it home so they each and "do thier job" so that is why they are not flying around.

So where did Ariel go?

Ariel's meet and greet there is gone. She can be found at her Grotto in DCA. I think once the new LIttle mermaid ride is done (2011??) she will again have a meet and greet area.
