What is this? I haven't heard anyone talking about it but it seems to be part of their "Summer Nightastic". I noticed it is on the park map under the other Nightastic stuff. It says "After dark, follow the twinkling trail to the home of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends for a sparkling light show!". I'm assuming this is a show without the characters present? I've been wanting to see Pixie Hollow just to look at how they decorated it but I have no desire to see the characters so I wondered if this could be my chance?

Just curious what this is all about since I haven't heard any mention of it here. Has anyone seen the "sparkling light show"?

LavenderPeach - in these two posts from WazowskiLOVER in her Trip Report (links below), she has some great nighttime shots of Pixie Hollow and the little light/water show. I never had any interest in seeing Pixie Hollow, but her pictures are so great that I now have to go (at night, when there are no Pixies around, of course!!:lmao:). That is the power of photography - if you light it and frame it right, or capture it at the right time of day/night, you can make people want to see and do things they wouldn't ordinarily want to see & do:

Thanks for the links! I'll have to check it out. I have no desire to see pixies but I do have a desire to see pixie hollow, if I don't have to wait too long. :)

There is no wait for the night time show. It happens about every 15-20 minutes. The lights on the trees start twinkling, music starts playing and the lights in the water 'dances'. It's a really neat surprise for those that aren't expecting it, and most people don't even know it's there, so there has never been a crowd in the many times we've visited. I love to stand in the queue line between the water and the trees and enjoy it all. :goodvibes

On your way out, be sure to walk all the way through the queue and out the exit. You'll get to see where the fairies 'live' and it's really cute all lit up at night. Although, I can't say how it compares to the day time because the line to see the fairies scares me!

Count me in the group that was curious about Pixie Hollow, but had no desire to see the characters there. At night, the character queue is deserted, so you can walk the area and see how well themed it is. After walking through it, I literally stumbled across the enchantment show.

It is quite impressive. It's a short show with nice light effects around the Hollow and great lighting effects in the pond. It won't take you very long at all to see it, but I think you'll be glad you did.

Aww thanks Sherry for further requesting people to see my TR! HAHA! I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching the water show at Pixie Hollow. We talked to a CM that was around Pixie Hollow and he said that they have 4 different water shows that run every 15 minutes! Its so cute and magical. Not only does it light up in the water, but the trees around Pixie Hollow also sparkle and change colors! Its fantastic :) I recommend it for anyone interested in watching it!

Hey, no problem!:thumbsup2 I always like to pimp out my DIS-friends' Trip Reports when I can!!:goodvibes:lmao:

Oh that looks so cute! I definitely want to try to see it. I used to love the little water show they had at the DLH. I had no idea about this until I got home and was looking more closely at the map and I was like "what is this?". I'm glad to hear that it's not too crowded.

Now I just have to find a time to go see it. Does anyone know what time they start doing the shows? We would want to go early since DS doesn't stay up very late. Also, I wonder if they'll continue this after summer is over or if it strictly a summer thing.

Thanks everyone for the info! :)

Dancing Waters was the show at the DLH! I remember that - it was a small little area with colored lights and water and music - sort of like the embryo of what World of Color is anticipated to be at DCA!:lmao::lmao: And now that whole little 'fountain' area in the DLH is just sitting there doing nothing. Wasted space! But this Pixie Hollow - from what I can tell by Jasmine's pictures - looks much prettier than Dancing Waters was.

Yes, this looks prettier and more sparkly. I remember when Fantasmic first came out that I was thinking it was like a really big version of the Dancing Waters show. I can't wait to see the World of Color since that also seems to be along the same lines only (hopefully) a lot better.

Too bad the DLH isn't using that area for anything. I haven't been over there in years. I keep wanting to go look at the koi ponds again but I've sort of been saving it in case we don't renew our APs. That way we could still go over to DLR and get a little bit of Disney magic by looking around the hotel grounds if I need my disney fix. :rotfl:

I have no idea on what they're going to do with it after the summer promotion ends. While it's not a temporary one shot only deal, it may be a seasonal attraction. I'd like to see them do something with it during Christmastime.

Oh, I would love to see that too! What a great idea!

Oooooooh!!!! There is a lot of potential in that idea! If they decorated it and did Christmasy things with the lighting and music, it would be beautiful! They could also make it 'Spooky Hollow' or something for future Halloween seasons.

We have been to Pixie Hollow at WDW but it's our first trip at DL. How long is the wait, how many fairies , and also where is it located ? Thanks for the info!
