Pixie Dust Needed!!

Sending you prayers and pixie dust (both for you, your family, and family/friends). I understand how hard it is to lose your father (my father passed away suddenly when I was 17). Like others have said, don't let doctors give you a time. Say everything you feel, do everything you can, and remember that miracles are possible.

Thoughts and prayers are with you. My dad also passed away from brain cancer which spread from his kidney. We spent a lot of time together those last few months and I am so happy we did. Enjoy each day.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. Prayers for you all. That being said, I strongly urge your family to have the doctor refer him to hospice care IF there are no more treatment options. I know people automatically think "omg that's for people who are at the end" but it also about providing support & caring for your Dad and your whole family. The goal is comfort & support so your Dad can live a fully as possible as long as possible. I know for a fact how helpful it can be when you feel like you have no where to turn. I'm a nurse & I had hospice for both my mother & mother in law. I found it so helpful & received so much loving support from the team that came to help me care for them.

Sometimes it's to hard to know what to do.

Know that we are hear for you and will do whatever we can for you.

Lots of prayers and pixie dust coming your way. Make sure you have plenty of support from palliative care. They will make sure you have the resources to have your dad as comfortable as possible while he's at home and will be there to help if he needs to transition to the health care facility for more medical support.

So sorry you have to go through this. My Dad passed from Pancreatic cancer 11 months after diagnosis. Sending prayers of peace and comfort for you and your family.
