Pixel Chix question

What age would you say is good for pixel chix? I've seen it listed as for ages 5 & up and ages 6 & up. Do you think a 5 year old is too young for this toy?

I guess it depends on the child. (Sorry, not much of a helpful answer, huh?) It seems this is a popular toy along with the tamagtchi this season. My 7 and 9 year old dds want both the pixel chix and the tamagtchi for Christmas.

I hope someone can give you a better answer than I did!
