It has been announced that Disney are finally buying pixar for $7.4 billion. i think it would of been a shame if they had lost out, the partnership made some of the best movies.
I've been following a thread similair to this on the US comm board, there seems to be a bit of concern about how one of Pixars owners has now become a major shareholder in WDW and how that may mean a major shake up of Disney. I'm not sure what the pros and cons of this may be, does anyone have any opinions?

i believe you're referring to Steve Jobs the head of Apple and Pixar...
I wouldn't worry about him, he's a clever guy....
the deal was something on the order of $6 billion in Disney stock and $1 billion in cash...so i think he becomes the largest single stockholder in disney....but he's a good guy....very forward thinking, as evidenced by both Apple and Pixar...
Pixar president ed catmull will take over as president of the animation studios....also sounds like a good fit..
john lasseter, head of pixar creative and i think formerly a disney animator, returns to disney as chief creative officer of the animation studios and will lead the team that designs theme park attractions (AKA imagineers)....
this guy started out as a CM in Disneyland when he was a teenager (sweeping the street from what i heard)....he supposedly LOVES the theme parks and it sounds like it could be a good thing for the parks.....
I think this has got to be good news for Disney. Pixar are are the fore front of commputer animation and Disney would not have liked to see a rival snap them up once the partnership deal finished.
The story telling skills of Pixar are every bit as important as the technology
