PIXAR wants to re-up with Disney

In an earnings related interview, Steve Jobs told reporters PIXAR was in negotiations with Disney and would like to continue the relationship before looking for another partnership. He would like the deal in place by the middle of next year.

I assume he meant "rather" rather than "before" otherwise it doesn't make a lot of sense...

Good news for Disney, but Steve has always been know to spin stuff like crazy untill Apple/Pixar make an official announcement, then he's all for it.

I took it to mean Pixar was negotiating exclusively with Disney. If those negotiations do not bear fruit, then Pixar will move on.

Nothing nefarious there....
