Pixar Place to Disney land via DCA?

We are staying at Pixar Place on our upcoming visit and wondered if , after a morning at DCA and a siesta at the hotel, is it quicker to cut through DCA to get to DL or should we just walk through Downtown Disney? And if it is quicker, what is the latest we can enter DCA on Oogie Boogie Bash nights without an OBB ticket? Our idea is a siesta and back out to DL around 4.30-would we be able to cut through at that time? We will have hoppers BTW!

I haven't mapped it, but probably the route through DCA is slightly longer. It might be more of a fun walk, though! You'd be fine walking through at 4:30, because they don't start closing the park to non event guests until 6:00.

We looked on Youtube last night and Anaheim Park Tourist (Hi Crystal!) suggest cutting through Grand Californian which we will do on the way back as OBB will be in full flow!
