Pity party for me.. I know ya'll will understand!

I have been gone for a while, I'm working in a domestic violence shelter, finishing up my last year of college, and we are thinking about buying a house. So, I don't know when I'll EVER get back to disney. With all of the stress lately, I've literally been dreaming of a vacation LOL!!

Well, on to the pity party. I graduated from my local community college last in may of 2002 and then transfered to the university. At the community college, I was very active and held office in a particular honor society. Well, one of the girls that I work with is now at that community college. She is NOT in the honor society but helps out with them every once in a while.

She comes in the other day asking me if I can work part of her shift while she goes on vacation in October. I asked her where she was going, she said that she and the honor society were going on an ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIP to WDW for a week.

I told her that I didn't know, I'd have to check my own school schedule before I could commit to anything. I know that I am being childish, but you know, we never got to go anywhere! And she is going to WDW with MY honor society that she isn't even a REAL member of?????? And she wants me to work for her????? I know, I'm such a big baby! LOL!

You definitely deserve a pity party! I'll be the first to join in. The thought of someone else getting an all expense paid, week long trip to Disney makes me sooooo envious. And then to have to think about having to work part of their shift while they are off having the time of their life ~ oh man!!!

I get depressed whenever I hear that someone is going to Disney. DH told me no Disney for 3 years --- aaacckkkk! I can't imagine how I'd feel if I knew someone was having an all expense paid trip and then asked me to work for them while they were gone. I'd probably revert back to childhood and throw a temper tantrum.

I am so sorry, dmslush! That does stink!! You can whine on this board anytime, I would be steaming mad!!

I would be pea green with envy. You have every right to feel the way that you do.

I would do the extra shifts if I could but only only condition that she promises to bring you back a really nice souvenir from WDW. And I would stash that extra money away for my own WDW trip.

I would smile and maybe even help her plan her trip a little.



















And then I would pray that it rains every blessed day that she is there.
