Thompson Princesses requested this on another thread. I don't know if this is the version she was looking for, but since I found it I thought I would post it here. (Disclaimer -- I've never made this recipe and don't know how it tastes, but it does sound good.)

PISTACHIO PUDDING CAKE

1 box white cake mix
1 box pistachio instant pudding
1 c. club soda
3 eggs
1 c. oil
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts

TOPPING:

1 box pistachio instant pudding
1 c. cold milk
1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip

Mix all ingredients and pour into a greased pan. Bake at 350 until done, 30 to 45 minutes.
Mix pistachio pudding and milk together until thick. Then add Cool Whip. Ice cake and refrigerate.

Is this the same cake that used to be called "Watergate Cake"? (back in the 70s -- I'm dating myself!)

I don't remember much else about the cake except that it used pistachio pudding...

Does sound good tho!

:thumbsup2
