Has anyone been to DLR today who can confirm or deny the existance of this quest at Disneyland?
I was at DL yesterday (Monday) and talked to a number of cast members at VMK and inside innovations. Most of them claimed to have no information about a pirate quest. Finally I talked to one who knew that it had come out at the WDW and he said that he was also waiting for it to be released at DL. But, I asked and he said that as far as he knew they had not received any cards. Does anyone know whether it is also supposed to be released at DL? Thanks

I got the very first Pirates quest cards handed out, and these are pictures of 'em. (With my codes blanked out, of course!)

I'm confused, can the card come out?

um, so are you saying we have permission to use this reusable 500 credit code???

now don't get me wrong, but this is totally not fair to those who can't go to the park because they're losing out on literally thousands of credits!

...what I want to know is the day after you do that can you go and get another card and get just the well?...
As Aeryn has already said they are in the same holders out in the open that the other quests are in. I would not like to see anyone grab a LOT of brochures just for the well, since that might mean they could run out and thus deprive someone else of doing the quest and getting the room. However I was easily able to take 10 today (I already have enough used passes on the way from a few people to use most of those to do quests for them) with no questions asked.

When VMK_Runo was in my new room tonight and I repeatedly told others that I got it "From the new Pirate Quest at Walt Disney World", he quite emphatically stated that it would be released at DLR "very soon" more than once. I would expect it to be released there by this coming weekend at the latest, but this is just a guess on my part.

The well card has micro-perforations around it so it can be removed from the brochure. However that would most likely ruin the brochure. If you are asking because of collecting or storage purposes, it would most likely be more valuable as a unit and being a half page size (~4.25" x 11" - same size as the Monster Gold Doors brochure) it is easily stored in any full page holder.

The "500 credit code" now gives 100 credits and I do not expect that to change. It is what I call a persistent code in that it can be used one time on each character, but can be used on all characters. This is much like the Kellogg magic pin codes, VMK shirt code (from the VMK bracelet), and the many other credit codes that are still active.

Hello everyone!
I went to DLR today just to check out the news of the new Pirate Quest. I knew it was not out yet but had seen some posts on other boards saying it was only at WDW so I was curious to know what was up. All the CM's I talked to confired that DLR will have the pirates quest but that they don't know when. LOL. So yes it is coming!
Also, I checked at the pirate store for hat cards and they at one time had the gold ear cards but were out of them at the moment so I was directed to the Shop at Critter Country where I picked up 2 gold ear cards but have no idea yet if they work.
Poohs corner still has red penny presses. Magic shop still has magic mirrors and they are still giving out the animation desk at DCA. Also I noted that the CM's at DCA are handing the animation desk cards out at the Turtle Talk entrance and the Animation Stuido entrace so I was able to get a card at each place as most CM's will only give "1 per guest per day".
So good news for my quest I now have a fresh stock of prizes! Woot!
Anyway...enough rambling lol

I did the quest at WDW yesterday. I just wanted to say that vmk was empty when I picked up the quest. When I returned the quest, that place was packed!

There were so many kids in line behind us turning in quests. When I asked them if they did the new pirate quest, they didn't know what I was talking about. So before I left vmk central I made sure they got a quest. Also they asked me to check their quests. Some of the quest questions I knew off hand and was able to help them. Others I couldn't remember for the life of me and neither could starwarskid. This has happened to us before. I called Mal who hooked them up with the correct answers. (I have to remember to bring the answers with me.) Turned out that MANY of the questions where they got help from the CMs at the attractions, were wrong. They were disappointed that the attraction CMs didn't know the correct answers to the quest questions about their attraction. So was I, after all, how long have some of the quests been running?...a year.

Wanted posters are still behind the counter, not displayed in the open anymore.

This is an interesting one. The dates printed on both the well and room cards say "Redeemable through September 30, 2007...". However the date printed on the brochure (in the fine print to the right of the back of the well card) says "Quests are valid July 1, 2006 through September 30,2006." I guess you might have to complete the quest by this October, but have a year from then to enter the codes.

First, thanks Bob for answering all of my questions. I am bummed that this quest was to originally start July 1, 2006 as I was there from July 6-13th and have no pirate quest to show for it. If only they had started on time...bummer.

With the quest being valid through September 30th, does everyone believe that as of October 1, 2006 this quest will end. My mom is going October 2, 2006 and I had asked her to pick up the new quest for me but now it may seem that this may not be possible. So goes my dumb luck....

I'm rather paranoid I guess. I printed out the answers to every quest in the players guide and took them with me when we went in December and February. :)

I just got off phone about 90 minutes ago with Candice at DLR's Guest Relations in City Hall. She says they don't have Pirate 2 Quest there yet, will get in a week or so.

I sent an e-mail to Joan in VMK Operations about the availability of Pirate Quest in DLR and this was her response:

"Yes, the Pirate Quest should be at Disneyland on Friday, Aug 3. There was a
minor shipping issue that prevented it from being there earlier."

I think she meant Friday Aug 4th. So the great Disney Engine was slowed by a shipping issue. LOL. Either way I'm happy as I'm going to DLR on Sunday! Yay! :)
