We finally decided to go to the parks this July and can't wait.

What I am wondering is will the pirates quest return? I know that it is currently not offered but has it been discontinued like Haunted Mansion? I have several complete pirate quests from our last trip and I hesitate to trade them. If I know I can get more, then it would not matter, but if they will no longer have this quest I may want to hang on to them longer.

Also, for Thrill Seeker Quest~when you get your stamp at Kali River, does everyone have to take their paper or can one person take the papers for the entire group? Do you need to show your ticket to get the paper stamped?

Finally, on the current cards, it says the expiration date is September 30, 2006. Does this mean that if the codes on the cards are not entered by that date, they will no longer be valid? Everything seems to have an expiration date of September 30, 2006, I wonder what happens on October 1, 2006.

Bummer - we just miss you by three days.

From what I understand is that the Pirates Movie comes out on July 7, Pirates of the Carribean will be open, so I bet that is when the quest will be open. (Similar to Everest the Official Opening Day was April 7, and that is when the quest became available.) <cries>.

As for codes on cards expiring on that date. I have codes from June, that I just finished entering and they had an expiration date (cannot remember if it was September 2005 or December 2005), but they still worked.

I am also curious about the Thrill Seekers quest.

Wow, I never really paid attention to the dates on the cards, good question! Hope someone knows the answer to that.

I heard from someone in vmk yesterday, who was at the park last week that they do have new pirates quest cards in vmk central, but they aren't allowed to give them out yet. Who knows if this is true or not, and if they are the same cards or different ones. :confused3 With the way they move CM's around it so hard to get just one answer most of the time. I wish they would keep a list of FAQ at vmk central so everyone could get the same information.

I can tell you there is no Pirate Quest at WDW now. I asked about it, and they told me they don't have the cards anymore. Of course, with VMK, it changes daily what all they know and how they do things.

At Kali, When I went, the CM stamped several for me. She looked like she was pretty practiced at flipping through them as she stamped, and even joked about VMKers running her out of ink. I didn't need to show my ticket.

I have no clue about the cards experation date, and I would guess VMK doesn't either :)

When we did the Thrill Seeker Quest, my son and I got our quest papers stamped at the Kali ride entrance. We did not need to show our ticket to get the paper stamped. When we took the quest to VMK central at Magic Kingdom the CM there said we only needed one quest paper for the whole group and she even gave the quest paper back and said to use it next time. You will need your tickets at VMK central.

Hope this helps.

Noooooooooo, by three days???? I can't believe it. I think you need to stay just a little longer, hint, hint.

Wow, you mean we might be there for the re-opening of Pirates? That will be awesome.

Anybody else going to be there in July? We will be riding Expedition Everest as much as we can and doing the quests!!!!

Your mileage may vary with the getting the quest paper back for Thrill Seekers. I've done the quest 4 times now and 3 times they kept the paper, once they handed it back. (fortunately, I do have photocopies so I just keep making more ;) )

Also from what I am being told I would take a printed quest for each ticket for Thrill seekers. Better to be safe than sorry.

this is JMHO but I dod not think that Series 2 Pirates Quest will be back I think that Quest is over and done with and a NEW series 3 Quest will come out when the "Pirates of the Caribbean" Movie is released on July 7th and POC ride reopens.

What about the 6 remaining cards for Series 2? Maybe they will use those cards.
