Hi, I was reading that there are two short water flumes you travel over on this ride and was wondering what the chances of getting - wet - are, to know whether or not to pack some change of clothing.

Can you tell I'm a DLP novice?

When we booked this trip we said it is for the kids and now with each passing day getting closer and closer I'm realizing how excited I am never mind the children who STILL don't know where we are going and I'm amazed I haven't blabbed it out yet.

Cheers

Hi,

Very little splash i'm afraid and certainly no need for extra clothing, we were there 12 days ago and I think I got splashed more cleaning my teeth than on the ride!!

That is good news then, one less thing to worry about packing on our day out.

Thank you
Lyssa

I think maybe it depends where you sit, some water came in during one of our rides and DD got her bottom wet :lmao:

No big deal though, all part of the Disney experience surely?

If you sit in the first row on your left hand side you will get a little wet.:lmao:

Also some underwater bombs go off at one point and they splash the same position too.

By mid morning the seat itself will be wet when you get on so you may like to put a plastic carrier down first.

This is my all-time fav ride so getting damp does not really bother me - I'd be happy to do it again and again and again..........

the first drop you get your photo taken, so dont forget to SMILE;)
I would love to keep that sort of secret, but Im rubbish...we got back from DLP on Sunday...Im missing it already:sad2: you will love it and so will the kids.
Have a great time.

I remember 3 dips, the first one is just after you are pulled up a ramp, then there is another little one, then the third one is a bigger one, and that's where your photo is taken pirate:

It also varies on how many people in the boat, if I remember rightly the more in it the bigger chances of getting water come over the sides when you hit the water.

If you sit in the first row on your left hand side you will get a little wet.:lmao:
We found this too.
On our last time we were in the front row and my friends son was on the left and found the seat wet and he got splashed more but he didn't need to get changed as it was warm outside and it wasn't much.

Does the guy on the bridge still pour his bottle over one unsuspecting rider. It wasn't working last time we went, but one time it got DS good and proper.:lmao:

There are 2 pirates on the bridge in the town, one is swinging a bottle around, occasionally he tips it upside down.
I think we were at the front of the boat when DS got hit by the contents :)

After the third drop, just after the photo, I thought there used to be a blast of cold air on you, but when we went last month I didn't feel that. Did I imagine the whole thing, or has it stopped?:confused3

Is that the bit where there is a skeleton at the wheel of a ship on the right hand side and it looks as though it's sleeting - it does always feels cold there.:cold:

That's the bit - and it feels even colder because the rest of the ride is so warm and balmy.pirate: pirate: pirate: My favourite ride.
