Snakes on a WEDWay!! - I'll get my people to get your people to flesh out the deal memo! We won't be making a movie - we're goinna be printing money!
Anyway -- no one goes on a ride just because it's a movie tie-in. People go on a ride because it's a good ride.
No one goes back to 'Stitch' because it's a movie-tie. Crowds weren't flocking to the 'Tarzan' show just becasue it was movie tie-in. And even after they changed the name of 'Countdown to Extinction' to 'Dinosaur', people went on it only becasue you people out East haven't got 'Indiana Jones'.
Adding movie-Pirate stuff to 'Pirates' isn't going to change anything as long as the ride itself isn't materially changed one way or the other. The current adjustments turned out to be rather pointless - they didn't make the ride better nor did they make it worse. The vast majority of people don't care about the new figures (readers of 'Tiger Beat' magazine exempted).
To get people interested, make the show better. But if all Disney wants to do is throw in just enough the make the thing a commerical of the DVDs, no one's going to show up.
