Yes I just did more research and found that the game wont even be unveiled until E3 (electronics show), like Coriander said. Nowhere on Disney's site, or any other site for that matter, is there any information about Beta testing for anything other than the mobile game. There is no way they would open it up for Beta testing without even unveiling it yet, nor would they do so without any of the top gamer sites (that all have info about POTC online game) knowing about it, and it seems not a single one does. Also if you do a search of the ENTIRE DISNEY WEBSITE for Beta, it only pulls up the mobile game.

mDisney and Floodgate Entertainment are in open Beta right now for Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer Mobile. It will be on Verizon, Cingular and Sprint phones, but the test is on Windows.

I signed up a couple months ago with hopes to be a beta tester. Later I found out that this game will cost some money to play. Now, I hope I am not accepted as a beta tester because I am not going to pay to play lol.

i am sure if you are a selected as a beta tester they will not make you pay, until the game offically opens. (i dont know though) On the site it does not say free, but it always does not say you have to pay to play. lol I signed up months ago, but since then they have updated the site with video clips and some pictures. I registered again and got an e-mail.
(everybody that registers with get this e-mail, if you register a while ago you may have to register again)

You need to have a WINDOWS to play the online game! Gosh, this stinks, especially because my Dell is down...

Well, I actually posted this today because:

I now work for Floodgate Entertainment (as of this week) and I'm finally getting the beta started Everyone who signed up with a real email address can expect another email shortly.

I want *real* Disney fanatics in my Beta test and where better to go than the Dis, right?

You can tell by my post count that I, myself, am a Disney fan and not a plant on here, and I plan to be active in answering questions abuot the game both on here and the official forums once the game is launched.

The Beta test is free to play, but the game itself will be offered through individual phone carriers for whatever fee they decide to charge (I have no control over that.)

Oh, also, even though the phone is only set to launch on specific carriers right now, that doesn't mean I don't want you in my test. As the test runs in Windows, it's open to all (even you Mac people with an emulator)

Can someone explain two things for me: what's an emulator (I know it has to do with rendering graphics) and why do I keep getting an "Internal Server Error 500" when I try to sign up?

An emulator is anything that makes your computer think it is something else. For example, a Windows Emulator makes your Mac think it's a Windows machine and lets you play a Windows program. A Nintendo Emulator makes your computer think it is a Nintendo console and lets you play Nintendo games.

In this instance I'm talking abut running a program, rather than rendering graphics.

Thanks for the info. I hope that they don't charge for you to play. Especially as a beta testor.
I personally won't pay to play any online game. So, if they charge, you won't see me playing it.

As for the mobile phone game, I won't even bother since I don't have a cell phone.
