Pirates cruise at grand floridian

i am not staying on site at disney but would like to have my kids do the pirates cruise at the grand floridian..... is this possible for me to do even tho i wont be going to stay in disney? would i just drive to the grand floridian, park there, and go on the cruise? thanks

My boys loved the pirate cruise when they went last Jan - they were 8.5 & 10. I think they asked where we were staying which happened to be on-site. However, I don't think that is a requirement for the cruise. I'd call. The worst that will happen is they will tell you no.
