Pirate store question

I know the POTC ride is closed but does anybody know if the store outside the ride is still open. It will be bad enough in June when we go to explain to my DS but if the store is open I can at least buy his happiness.

The ride was closed when we were there in March, but the shop was still open.

That store is one of the best, isn't it?!? I will be at WDW in May. I assumed they'd keep that store open even with the ride closed. Everyone needs their pirate fix !
