So, I'm looking forward to pirate night!!! So, what are the adults wearing for this? I understand that the staff pass out bandanas for people to wear? Well, I've got my eye-patch, puffy pirate shirt and vest, pirate boots and a tri-corner hat. I even found an "aztec" gold medallion.

My wife made a red-rhinestone eyepatch with a jolly roger in the center, along with her puffy shirt, vest, etc.

Will we be overdressed for this?;)

I think you'll have fun. Where did you get your pirate garb, if you don't mind me asking, matey :)

Go for it...though you will be in the minority....most just wore their tropical shirt and bandana....but.....I am sure you will look great and get many compliments!!!

Your outfits sound great! From what I saw, most of the passengers didn't really dress up in pirate outfits, although some of the younger kids did. However, I am sure that the cruise staff will really notice you, and appreciate all the trouble you went to. I know it makes them feel good when they see the passengers get into the fun on the ship, and I've seen them pull people into the action, when they know they're really into it :) Have a wonderful time!

Our whole group of six dressed as pirates for the night. I even wore the puffy shirt. We were on a Halloween cruise so the outfits got to do double - actually triple - duty. Most people didn't go the pirate route, though. A lot of people had tropical wear on, as I guess Wednesday was traditonally tropical night.

But we're very glad we got into the occasion. All of the waiters gave us a hearty "arrgh, matey" when they saw us, and the kids loved the attention. They have a really big party on deck at 9:45, and being dressed up made it a lot more fun.

One thing that I didn't know about is that the menu that night looks like a treasure map. It's rolled up, and on crinkly, weathered-looking paper. It's very colorful, and a good souvenir.

My Dad dressed up for Pirates night and he got so many compliments, everybody loved his costume. I don't think he felt very out of place.

The Pirate Deck Party was really cool. Don't miss it!

My husband dressed up and the CM's loved it. Captain Hook's reaction was so cool. My DH felt funny in the beginning but it didn't last long because of all the attention.

I wish that I could convince my husband this was a good idea! sounds like lots of fun.

Have any suggestions for a web site that sells more women's pirate wear?

Which night is this anyway?

Our Pirates In The Caribbean dinner and deck party was on Tuesday (Eastern).

Well, when we booked last year the theme was tropical night. I convinced DH to get matching tropical outfits for the 4 of us. That is why we will be dressed up in tropical wear on Pirate night. Maybe I will be able to find something more pirate like for our next cruise but I couldn't see any reason to let the outfits...and the money...go to waste. We even have the multi colored glow bracelets to brighten the festivities.

My guess is that you'll see more and more folks dressed in Pirate garb as time passes and more folks have time to plan for it. I will be fun no matter how you're dressed.

This is what I'll be weraing on Pirate Night, with a pair of black leggings! I'm looking forward to being a girly pirate!

Aisling, I just wanted to say that that top is gorgeous.

I dressed up on the 10/16 cruise and had a great time. I was one of the few adults to dress up but we have some great pictures of the evening.

I do think that someone thought I was a castmember though!

KEH, thank you!
Ebay has a store called HolyClothing, all brand new clothes, and the prices are great. When I saw this blouse, I knew it was Pirate-Night worthy! It was fairly inexpensive, good quality, and came in different colors!

I read that they will be having the pirate night on the Wonder starting in Jan. Does anyone have the exact date? We are on the Jan. 9th sailing. My son would love this!pirate:

This is news to me. For three years, we've done the eastern route on the Magic and Tropical Night was always the same day we were in St. Maarten. Has Pirate Night replaced Tropical Night, and if so, what are they doing differently? Sounds fun though....I love pirates! :teeth:

Are these Pirate Nights only on specific cruises? Any idea if this is something on the 3 day Wonder? Thanks!
