Pirate Night Question..

My wife and I have end up packing an entire suitcase just to fit diving gear and pirate outfits for our last few cruise. Lucky for us we are close enough to drive to FL for our trips. Well "close enough" is 7+ hours but the point is we don't have to fly.

I am going on SWDaS. I can't figure HOW in the entire wide ocean I would fit Formal Wear, Informal Wear, Electronics and such, a Pirate costume AND a Star Wars Costume. I'm going to have to book a butler to go with me.

This is how the Halloween cruise was for us. Dressy clothes, costumes, DD's dress-ups, pirate costumes. We used a garment bag for most items and then had an entire carry on suitcase dedicated to Halloween costumes. (I started work on our costumes in February and put in hundreds of hours - no way I was going to check it!)

We also ended up packing a separate suitcase just for our pirate outfits and dive gear for excursions. We are lucky enough to only live 7+ hours from FL so we drive down and can over pack as much as we need. For our christmas cruise we aren't diving but will be packing in pirate outfits and formal wear. It's cumbersome but worth it for the fun.

DH and I will probably have this issue on our 1/23 sailing. Thankfully, he just needs a different colored shirt every night. My pirate costume is relatively compact, but my leia costume won't be. He normally doesn't check luggage, but he will for this trip. So between two checked bags and two max sized carry-ons, we should be ok. My issue is always shoes....

The last Disney cruise I went on was before they started with the pirate night thing. I personally plan to take it very seriously..but I don't want to be the only one! Is it mostly kids or is there an equal participation among adults as well?

Oh no, there are plenty of adults that are fully decked out! Some of the outfits looked custom made haute couture in fact. The have a pirate package in the Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique too. Have fun!
