Pirate night details - Help

I am sure this has all been discussed, but the threads are really scattered. Can I get some details on Pirate night on th Wonder? Is it always the same night? Does the Pirate menu supercede the regular menu (for whichever restaurant)? Are people wearing Pirate clothes?

And most importantly - do you think we can get Johnny Depp to take us all captive?

Pirate night is on the second night. Whatever restaurant you have on pirate night has a pirate themed menu. We were on the Jan 30 Wonder and people were not dressed as pirates, but you get a pirate hankerchief to wear on your head at dinner and to the pirate party. The party was fun, but it doesn't start until 10 p.m. so my kids (who are young) were too tired to stay long. There is dancing and all of that. Then there is a big pirate buffet with tons of yummy deserts in addition to other fun stuff to eat. I would think as more people start hearing about pirate night, more people will be dressing up for it. My daughter had a "hook", eyepatch and hat - it was cute.

As for Johnny Depp...you can always hope!!

Check out the glow in the dark feature of the bandanas...it's cool! I wore mine to Match Your Mate after the deck party, and it looked really neat under the black lights in Wavebands. Your servers will be dressed up in cool pirate costumes. I LOVE the head servers' hats! But no Johnny Depp, and believe me, I looked! Guess he's too busy as Willy Wonka these days.

Do they sell glow sticks at this event?

They have a merchandise cart set up on deck that sells all types of glowy and fiber optic goodies and light chasers (like at WDW and the Disney Store)....I found it cheaper to buy a package of glow jewelry or sticks from a place like Oriental Trading...less expensive overall, especially with a few kids.

I asked DCL about Johnny Depp too!-Even offered for him to come and stay in our stateroom (sure DH wouldn't mind one bit!). Said they would pass my message along but not to hold my breath (darn...)

Mr. Depp is welcome on board anytime. He seems like a cool guy. However, he must bring Kiera Knightley with him, or there's no deal.

Now if I could find a way to get Johnny Depp and James Marsters (who played Spike on Buffy and Angel) to hang out with DW on CC for an afternoon, I think she'd be in heaven. (She'd probably even let me go hang out with Salma Hayek, who would also be there. Obviously...)

Which she needs, because when I left the house to go to work today, (after taking her to have her wisdom teeth torn out) she had taken two Vicodin and zonked out in the big overstuffed leather chair.
