Is there another Pirate Cruise available somewhere not just at GF? How does it compare to the GF pirate cruise? What days are the cruises available?

What do you do while your kids are on P cruise? No time to go to parks- so do you just hang around at your resort or at GF??

What other pirate things are availbe at WDW other than Pirates of Car. ride- any shows or anything??

There is an Albatross Cruise....which is basically the same as the GF pirate cruise....that sails out of the Bayside Marina near the Yacht Club resort.

Here's a link with a little info on it:

My DS5 loved the GF cruise....and we will probably try the Albatross cruise in December. I also believe that they are trying a cruise at the Caribbean Beach Resort one day per week....but, I'm not sure on that one.

I let the DW sleep in on that day and I just strolled around GF and took the monorail around to the Contemporary and Poly to explore for awhile.

For the upcoming Albatross cruise, I'm hoping to hit the Boardwalk for awhile and send the DW to get a massage this time.

You are correct, though....really not enough time to hit the park unless you just go hang out near the entrance on Main Street. Probably not enough time to get to the park and ride anything before having to get back to the monorail or boat to get back to the GF.

Speed :teleport:

We're going in January and are planning on the Pirate Cruise for our boys. We will have the inlaws w/us and I think we're going to do the 1900 Park Fare character breakfast while they are pirating. At first I thought it was kind of weird to do a character breakfast w/out them, but the characters there are really more geared toward girls or from my generation or older (Mary Poppins) so I decided the adults would enjoy it. Why shouldn't the adults have some Disney fun while the kids are? :teeth:

how do I find out more about the pirate cruise my boys would love that...?

There's info on it on the WDW website and more detailed info on allearsnet under Grand Adventures for Kids. I think the allears stuff is the most informative. You can make reservations 180 days out.

Here is and article about the new one at CBR. I have my 2 DS booked there for June.

Another pirate cruise for kids debuts. Booked 3/3/06
Following the success of the Pirate Cruise for kids a the Grand Floridian Resort and Albatross Treasure Cruise at the Yacht Club Resort, and building on the legend of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and movie, the Caribbean Beach Resort will debut the Islands of the Caribbean Adventure Cruise this Tuesday.
As with the other cruises, it is for kids ages 4-10, who must be potty-trained with no pull-ups. Up to 12 young pirates will receive bandannas and follow clues to find treasure, which will be divided up between the lucky crew members. Lunch, in the form of Smuckers Uncrustables sandwiches, juice and snacks, will be served.
The cruise will sail from the Barefoot Bay Boat Yard every Tuesday and will run from 9:30-11:30. It may not yet be available in the main reservation system at the WDW-DINE and WDW-PLAY numbers, so if you can't make a reservation that way, you can call the Barefoot Bay Boat Yard Marina directly at 407-934-2850. The cruise will cost $28.17 plus tax per child ($30.00 including tax).
