If you are thinking about the Pirate Cruise for your kids you should do it. My boys both 7 went on the Cruise. It leaves from the Floridian. For only $30 they get pirate bandanas with mouse ears, lunch, drink, and a treasure chest with goodies. It lasts 2 hours so you have a little free time to shop, relax, etc. It's for ages 5 (maybe 4) to 10. They travel to the different hotels looking for pieces of the treasure map and then they follow the map to the treasure.

I would love to sign up my two boys ages 6 and 8 but they don't seem interested. It sounds like great fun. Do you think I should just do it?? Do you have to make reservations exactly 90 days in advance or does it fill up slowly.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I have my DS9 signed up for NEXT SATURDAY(I'm so excited I could explode). Anyway I'm getting away from the question. I just called 2 weeks ago and was totally surprised to get in soo quickly. The CM told me it was because it was just 1 child.

ILOVEDIZ - Were there plenty of kids who were your sons age and a little older? That is the only worry I have. My son will be happy with kids 7,8 or 9 but if it was all real little kids, he'd be miserable.

Thanks
kathy

I would sign your sons up for it. I think you can book 120 in advance. It doesn't book up as fast as breakfast at Cinderella's Castle, but I would do it as early as I can. If your boys decide they just don't want to, you can always cancel within 24 hours. They are bound to have fun though.

Actually the PS time is now 90 Days, I know because I called last week at the 120 day mark and it wouldn't let them book it past 90 days out. Also, from recent reports I have seen on this, the bandanas no longer have the ears on them. They are just regular bandanas with a place for the child's name on the front. Still a lot of fun, I just wish we could have gotten the ears.

My boys were just on the pirate cruise March 17, 2004 and their bandanas had the mickey ears. With or without the ears the kids will have fun.

Thanks for the info Kmel, they must have brought them back. I had talked to several people from the Oct-Jan timeframe and the ears were gone. My DD will definitely have a blast.

Do you think this is just a boy thing or do you think my 2 DD'S(9&7) would enjoy it,
are there many girls that do the pirate cruise

Also a daft question :o how many children do they allow per trip
and are they well looked after?
