I didn't see it but I heard about it. I'm can't wait for Eagles football in the fall! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm sure my son will be there every one! He's a '98 grad.

The Big Dig is in Boston, correct? Great City!

Yup, I live in Boston! Actually, I've lived here my whole life.  I graduated in 95. :cheer2:

Does anyone have any pics of this pirate cruise or a link to some? That might make it easier to explain it to ds.

:)

Has anyone heard of a child getting scared once the boat pulls away, I have four year twins(boy and girl) I think our daughter woud be okay, it is my son who is a litle klingy. Has anyone experienced this with one of thier children? Are the cast members really good with kids in this situation?

Do any of you know if the boats have some sort of protection from the sun? My DS gets overheated very easily. We will be visiting in September. He very likely won't be able to handle wearing a life jacket and sitting out in the sun for 90 minutes straight.

We tried to book DS5 on the Pirate Cruise at the GF for May 17 but it was booked so we took the YC/BC one instead. Where exactly does this Pirate Cruise go and what are the stops? I know the GF cruise goes around Seven Seas Lagoon and they stop at different resorts and search for burried treasure. Where does the YC cruise stop?

Check out Janet2K's posts! She has great info and pictures of the cruises AND tea party!

Has anybody's kids done the pirate cruise from YC? How does it compare to the one out of GF? Is it as good?

I tired to book the Pirate cruise today for our May trip, the CM told me that the only crusie was from the GF, I even asked her if there were any other options, including one from YC, she said no. Is it under another name?

Call back. Lots of the CMs don't know about the ones from CBR or POR. The YC cruise is called the Albatross Cruise. Good luck!

no luck on the cruise, tired the other options they are all booked, thanks for the info

My boys (6 & 8) went on the POR jester cruise, the Sassagoula, in March. They really enjoyed it and it gave DH and I sometime alone. We rented a paddle boat for our own private cruise and had a nice lunch by ourselves!
The boys enjoyed their cruise. It has a Mardi Gras theme, they get cute jester hats (I'll try to download a pic later) and a bag full of goodies. It is basically like the pirate cruise, they stop and look for treasure with clues. The boat did have a covering on it, to protect from the sun. They cruise all the way to Downtown Disney and back. I gave the boys a disposable camera to takes pics along the way.
Also, for those who are afraid there kids won't go on the boat, I know they do a few activities first to get them having fun. They taught them a song (to the theme of If your happy and you know it, clap your hands) and took them on a little walk somewhere to tell them the story of the jester.
My only complaint with this cruise is that no one at Disney seem to know anything about it, as some of you have found out! It is very new and I think we were there for the second cruise! There were only 3 kids on the boat! It was very frustrating because I knew the cruise existed, but it took multiple phone calls with multiple CM's before I could even get it booked! So my advice to those who have tried is to call back and insist on them looking for the Sassagoula cruise. I had called before my trip and the CM said it was all booked. When we arrived at DW, I tried again, and found out I could have any day I wanted! (It runs 3 days a week) Apparently the previous CM was only checking the GF cruise. (Even though I specifically asked her, "All THREE cruise are booked at all THREE Resorts??" ) Then, even at POR resort, no one knew where it was!!! They had us running in circles! Hopefully this will get better with time!

Does anyone have info on the Pirate Cruise based out of the Yacht Club (times, days of week, prices)? I can't seem to find this on Disney's site or on AllEars. pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

My son went on the Albatross Pirate Cruise on May 17. He had soooo much fun! :yay: They departed from the Beach/Yacht club marina. They went all around the lake and then over to the World Showcase lagoon and then back. When we were walking over to pick him up we were passing the beach area at the BC and the little pirates were walking towards the beach to look for more treasure. Our DS walked right past us and didn't even notice us he was having so much fun. The CM's were wonderful and very attentive. There were two little pirates that weren't sure about going and the CM's made them feel right at home and by the end of the cruise they didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this activity! pirate:

The Albatross Pirate Cruise at the BC/YC marina is on Wed. departing at 9:30. I recommend getting there no later than 9:15. It was $29+tax and well worth it in my opinion. :thumbsup2
