I'll be taking my two kids to WDW in June. My daughter will be 7 and my son 3.5. I think they'd really enjoy one of the Pirate cruises but see you have to be 4 years to go. DS will only be 3.5 at that time. Has anyone been allowed to tak a 3 year old if they are with an older sibling. I can't see just letting DD go and leaving him behind. He is really into Pirates! Same for the Wonderland Tea Party, could he go?
Thanks!

This won't help you and it is only my opinion. I sent my DDs and my Goddaughter to the tea party when they were just 7,8 and 9. They had a rotten time because there were many kids that were not 4 or were very immature 4. The CMs even apoligized when I picked them up and said that the problem with these activities is that too many parents push the age limits and it ruins it for the older kids.

I understand your dilema and you can prob. just say he is 4 and send him but please think about his maturity and how he will behave with you not there. Its not fair to the older kids if he isn't mature enough for the activities.

My son was too young when his sister went so we rode the monorail completely around Disney both routes- he loved it and walked around the beach at the poly. They will have lots of activities in life that they both can't do.

The other thought is I see you go very often why not wait till next trip and then the both can go.

I agree with being truthful, it isn't fair to the older kids, it's not babysitting it is supposed to be an adventure.

Thank you for your honest replies. I never thought of it from that point, that he may ruin it for the older kids. Yes, we have been going each year so I can wait until next time. Thanks again,
Lisa

I didn't take it like you thinking about lying about his age...

I just wanted to say I feel your pain. My ds would love the Pirate Cruise. I look forward to the day he's old enough to go on it. We also go to WDW often so there is always a future trip (and a future adventure!) to look forward to. Like the pp said, you might want to just put it off for a future trip when they both will be old enough. OR, maybe your dd would enjoy doing something by herself - It might be a special treat that way. :goodvibes

Another thing to think of, is he too little to fully participate. My kids are old enough, but I always wonder if bigger/older kids rush ahead of the littler ones. Now I am curious of the breakdown of ages of kids that go on the pirate cruises.
