Pirate Cruise and Tea Party

I have PS for my DD 4 to go on the Pirate Cruise from 9:30 until 12 and I also booked the Wonderland Tea Party for 1:30-2:30 the same day. I figured that since we will be at the GF that day anyway, why not.
Has anyone done these two back to back?
I don't think I will change our plans. I just would like to hear from anyone else who has done this.

Well, the Pirate Cruise is through at 11:30am. So you would have 2 hours to kill. Plus, the PC will have been so much fun, she might get overloaded. However, if you are willing to "blow it out", then by all means, go for it!
I have never done the two back-to-back~

DD(7) and DN(6) just did the PC last Saturday and had a ball. They do feed the children PB&J, rice krispies treats and gummy worms and a juice box. At the tea they give them apple juice and a cupcake I believe...One little tike (age 3 or 4) apparently fell asleep on their PC )

My son and daughter did the pirate cruise and then my daughter went to the tea in the afternoon. We were staying at the Poly so we went back to our room in between the two activities. She was 7 and it wasn't too much for her. She had a great day!

I figured that in betweeen the two, we could swim in the pool or just hang out. We are going to be at the Pop, so I don't think we could go all the way back to our room.

We can use the pools at other resorts, right?

I thought it ended at 12, so 11:30 is actaully better. She can have a little time to unwind before jumping into the next event.

I know socks and sneakers are required for the PC, but how did the kids dress at the tea party?

Sorry, pools are for guests of the GF resort. Ask at the front desk if you can use the pools.

Some girls wear princess costumes, park attire or tea dresses. You'll see a bit of everything.

johnsonet - my ds (4) and 2 dd (5 & 7) did the pirate cruise on Saturday also! We probably saw each other and didn't even know. I would schedule them on different days, if possible. We did the wonderland tea party on Friday and pirate cruise on Saturday to give them time to fully enjoy each.

Hmmm...can we use the arcade in the GF or is that exclusive to guests too?
It would work out great if we could go to Gasparilla's so she could play and I could eat.
Some day I will be able to afford to be a real guest at the GF...lol

Yes, you can use the arcade but it is tiny. If you want a great arcade get on the monorail and go the one at the Contemporary.

Since you are spending so much money at the GF, why don't you ask if she could swim. Depending on the time of year, they just may say yes. I found the CMs at the GF's Guest Services to be very friendly.

At the tea they give them apple juice and a cupcake I believe...

They also get chicken nuggets to eat. My DD and DS went two weeks ago, and they had a full lunch at the Tea Party.

I've never heard about the sneakers and socks rule on PC. We have this booked for our 2 boys in September. Are there any other rules or pointers you could give me about this to make it more enjoyable for them? I'm so excited for them to do this. I can't wait!! DS 4 is a huge pirate and Peter Pan fan.

When did they change the ages for the Tea Party from 3 to 4?

Two years ago our DD attended the Tea Party and she was 3.

Just curious, as I would have loved to book my 6 yo DD and 3 yo DS on the pirate cruise.

I'm not sure when they changed the ages of the Pirate Cruise and Grand Adventures in cooking, but my DS was 3 when he attended the Tea Party two weeks ago. I made the ressie stating he was only 3 and there was no problem with him attending. I called and asked many times what the age limit was, both WDW Dining and the GF. Everyone I spoke to before leaving said that the Tea Party was the only event that is 3.

The CM that I spoke to when making the PS for the cruise said that the kids need to wear socks and sneakers and that the parents will have to sign a waiver in order for their kids to participate. The kids need to be potty trained too. Those were the only requirements I was given.

Robyn That is wild! My daughter and niece were "buddies" and sat on the left side of the boat - first or second row. They had a ball! I think I remember your kids. Was your little boy the child who "nodded off"at the end? We were told by one of the CMs that a little boy had...We thought that was too precious!
The girls LOVED the PC and talked about it off and on for the rest of the trip...It was DNiece's 6th birthday that day. We thought the CMs were really great! DD would like to do it again...
