Pirate costumes and pirate night

Hi!
My kids are pirate fans. They will most likely end up wearing the new Disney catalog pirate costumes for halloween. I was wondering if it would be going too far if they wear them on pirate night on our 3 night cruise? What do you think? Going too far? Heck, no! They'll look great and have a terrific time on "pirate night." Whole families get into the act now, from what I've heard on this board. DH and I are planning to dress in pirate garb on our upcoming cruise. (Well, I'm planning and DH is going along with it.) So enjoy!!

Just got off the Magic and there were quite a few families who went all out on Pirate night! It was a lot of fun and your kids will have a blast !

Here is a picture of me by the dessert buffet, the only thing different with my DD's from the pic in my signature is that they both had the hair braided before dinner. We all had a great time in costume. Both CM's and other cruisers talked to us about the costumes.

We just (as a family) bought costumes for our Thanksgiving cruise... we went to buycostumes.com, the costumes are great!! ... my DH and I have never dressed up for Halloween but this will be so much fun ... go for it!!

Hey all you past DIScruisers, could you post pics of pirate night and what you and anyone else was wearing. We are heading out on the Magic in six months and looking for ideas. If I do not dress up as a pirate, my DS 10 won't either. I plan on stepping out......ARGHHHHH

www.orientaltrading.com is a great place to buy pirate gear - just do a search on pirate. They have full costumes, hats, eye patches, earrings, etc and the prices are pretty reasonable.

If you have kids who still dress up for Halloween and your cruise is after talk them in to being priates. That way you kill two birds with one stone! They can be pirates for Halloween and then you have the outfit for the cruise. DD bit at it so now she is all geeked up for Halloween and the cruise!

We just returned from our cruise. Plenty of families were dressed up. Those that were dressed up certainly had no trouble getting into the spirit! Get the kids into their costumes and get there early. Stand on the Goofy pool cover and enjoy the fun! More than a few families dressed up for the part!

These pictures are great! I am going a 7 night Eastern Cruise in 54 days and we are having pirate night as well. I am getting some great ideas about costumes from these photos!

Right now the Disney store is having free shipping on Halloween costumes. They have so really neat kids and adult costumes. At least you could get some ideas there.

Here's part of our group on Pirate Night. We wore the costumes on Pirate Night that we wore to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. The kids we purchased at the party store before Halloween, a lady made mine and I made my husbands.
What a great night! Have Fun and go all out and Enjoy yourselves!

Check out the Disneydirect thread on the Budget board!!! You can stack codes!! The step by step directions are written out thru the thread. I just got DS the Captain Hook costume for under $12!!!! DH has his shirt & I have the fabric to make DD's costume. Now I just need to find a blouse for me!
