Pirate and Princess Party

I got a phone call from Disney and she just said that the parties were cancelled due to prolonged refurbs and that there will be a meet and greet at Hurricanes from 5pm - 8pm on the day of the party, i should have asked about if we would need our tickets but i hate talking on the phone lol

I got another email today with an official cancellation letter attached (like the one you get with your booking confirmation), the wording suggested that I had cancelled my party booking:lmao:

I got one of those today as well. It even had a 19 cancellation fee on it which they then refunded me back! It said they had modified the booking at my request they seem to be going out of their way to be irritating about the whole party cancellation thing.
 
I had a sheet attached to my email with the time and a map of where to find hurricanes. I queried what I would need to get in and they said that would be enough. I'm not sure they are sending them to everyone though so that would suggest there will be no checks about who should/shouldn't be there.
I received exactly the same as an email attachment today. There's no name on it so if I posted it on a forum anyone could print it off and take it along to get into Hurricanes. Do they ever think anything through?????:sad2:

I have yet to receive that e-mail.

Maybe my complaints e-mail was too long and thes stopped reading in the middle. ;)

I haven't had a reply to either of the 2 emails I sent voicing my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the cancellations or the 2 I sent requesting more info about the Hurricanes event! I think they must be ignoring those!!!

Just had an email from disney saying they had tried to contact me on the phone to tell me the party was cancelled!

The email said I could attend a moment with the princesses and I needed to ring them as soon as possible to confirm our attendance.
 
Has anyone received a refund yet? I haven't and I sent my tickets back over 3 weeks ago (26th April.)
 
I queried this and apparently I was refunded on 5 May and it can take upto 7 working days to get to your bank.

Haven't checked my account again yet though so we will see!
 
The money has been credited to my credit card account but I recieved another booking confirmation email for the party today so I'm not sure what that is all about:confused3
 
That's very weird! Can't imagine why they'd be confirming a cancelled event! Glad you got your refund and live in hope that mine will arrive too in due course!
I'm looking forward to hearing what people have to say about the Hurricanes event!
 
I meant to say that I didn't have any tickets to return because I had print at home tickets bought online.
 
I bought at home too. Also got a new confirmation e-mail, but in mine the amount is negative. So I was thinking this may be some screwed up credit note. Money has been refunded too. Still waiting for that entry e-mail to Hurricanes though. Not that it mattered, our trip has been moved to the pin event weekend in July.
