I tried to call today to order tickets for the Pirate and Princess Party a W-DISNEY and kept getting cut off before I could finalize anything. Each time I called, I would get a little more information though, and was surprised to hear what I was told. From reading the description on Mousesavers.com, I assumed that it was going to be similar to MNSSHP or MVMCP. Instead, when I called, I was transferred to dining. One CM was reading about it as we spoke and said, "Oh! It's going to be like Mickey's Back Yard Bar-b-que!" And then told me that I could book my dining reservation for Tony's now. At that point, the phone hung up. When I called back, I got a different CM who seemed to know more about it, or at least she didn't have to look it up before asking me when if I was using a dining plan. Before I could ask if it made any difference, again, I got cut off with a very fast dial tone. The last time I called, I was told that I could make reservations for dining any time after 7:30pm, but it is as if as soon as they punch a button to pull up a reservation screen, it hangs up. I think I'll wait awhile before calling again, but in the mean time, I'll pose the question to the all-knowing DISBoard.

What exactly is the Pirate and Princess Party? Do we get access to the whole park or is it just something that happens in a restaurant? I know that no one has had experience with it, but I can't even find info on it at the Disney website. Anyone have more info?

Thanks!

UPDATE
Sorry everyone. Apparently this post doesn't belong on the dining board after all. I finally got through to someone who knew about this and I didn't get cut off. I didn't end up being transferred to dining this time, either! This CM told me that it is going to be very similar to MNSSHP. She told me that when you pick up your map, you choose between two types of quests. Each will take you on a different experience, but she thought you could only choose one, not come back and do the other later, but was not sure. The first is for Pirates/Pirattes, the second is for Princesses/Princes. There will be beads and chocolate treats for everyone. You CAN make dining ADRs but it is just like when the park is normally open. You do not have to eat then. A meal is not included in the price of the ticket. She also said that there will be some fun surprises and characters that are almost never seen. She specifically mentioned Sebastian and Flounder but I got the impression that there are others as well. She stated that the full Princess court will be there together. As most of you know, it is normal to see one or two Princesses at a time, but in this case, all of the Princesses will be together. Talk about some little girls' dream come true! The price for two adults and two child tickets came to $145.52 including tax and a $3 shipping fee.

I hope this info helps someone else who might get a CM who isn't sure exactly what is going on with it.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like they are still working out kinks. Sorry you had so much trouble. Hopefully things will improve as more people call and order tickets.

WOW! That sounds amazing!
We were supposed to be there at this time but we have a new baby coming, so we will be postponing our trip.

I really HOPE that this will be an annual thing. Does anyone have any idea if it will be or not??

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

I just ordered my tickets and was told that we can make dining reservations for anytime after 5pm. The 180 day rule still applys though, so I have a bit to wait until I can book our dining.
