Pins

We've never been to WDW. We'll be there with Dd6 and Ds4. I'm not really wanting to do the pin trading as I know it can probably get expensive. Do you think my children will catch on to this??

I do not think that they will notice the trading unless you want them to notice. I have been many times and have never seen pin trading going on or stopped to see if it was going on. At that age your kids will be oblivious to it.

Of course, if you go into the stores you will see pins and they may want a souvenir, but it does not have to be related to trading unless you explain the concept.

On the other hand, princess crowns are right out in the open with no trading involved and you will end up spending $20 on a princess crown at least with my DDs

Ages 6 and 4 are primetime ages for pin trading.. Will be tough to hide with everyone walking around with pin lanyards full of pins.. My family has found a cheaper way to participate.

We go on ebay and buy the pins in bulk which helps bring the avg. price per pin down.. You can get 10 pins sometimes for around $30 to $40 including shipping which averages to $3 to $4 per pin.. That gives 5 pins to each of the two kids. I recently bought 20 pins for $60.75 plus $5.00 shipping which was like $3.29 per pin. You don't have to buy that many... Whatever suits your situation...

Then once at the parks we only do trades with CMs or other people. No buying new pins which retail double what we paid on ebay.. What's fun is that we might not like the pins we got on Ebay for $3 to $4 per pin, but it is fun to try and trade away the pins we don't like for ones we do at the parks. Its n

This is what we do too, we got a bunch for C-mas and traded almost all of them away for some really neat ones. Espically to CM's they tend to have some of the best ones, esp if they are a supervisor. My kids are 9 and 5 and they really got into it espically my 5 yo dd. But like some one said they are only really going to notice it if you point it out.
